Unless they completely forgot to include the audio files in the original build, then there's no reason that commentary is "too big" to patch. The only reason audio patches would be big is if they needed to upload new audio content into the game.

It's fairly obvious from the bugs that exist within the commentary that the problem is somewhere in the logic of matching situations with audio clips in the database. This is exactly the kind of thing that should be fixed via patches and there's no excuse to leave it ignored unless they need to upload hundreds of MB's of audio.

Something I've always wondered, if I already have a franchise file, would a patch fix the problems (ie weather, losing roles when editing etc) in my current franchise or would I need to start a new one?

Thats kind of my hope, I'm not going to say the commentary is great because its not.. But at least addressing the issue of certain players names not being called or called by the wrong game would be nice. I believe their audio files are in the game (Mark Ingram for EX) they are just mismatched.

As far as game-play I can live with it for the most part. I would like them to address A.I. issues in terms of franchise mode. Like the UDFA issue and the CPU draft logic, not filling its roster competitively. Fixing the issue with the Field graphics for the PS3 would also be nice. Oh, and being able to edit players fully(Height,Weight, Skin color) without losing their player roles.

More than likely have to restart, not 100% but thats been my experience. Even if they say you don't I still would because more than likely they didn't test the patch thoroughly (M12).

"The Audio pop" must be addressed.

Please.

No excuse for this at all.

Well, if you want a lot of int's, keep the int slider at 50 and lower the pass reaction sliders by a great deal.

This will help with the leaping LB's and mirrors of DB's.

The fix I'm looking for is the "unable to advance" one. Seems to be tied into injuries and IR.

What season are you in?

In coach mode, I would like the human-controlled QB to scramble on his own in appropriate situations. Right now you have to take manual control to make him run.

Word. All of the new "additions" like the preseason "mattering" and trading picks in the draft have either turned out to not work or actually make franchise less enjoyable than last year. If this stuff isn't fixed, I'm going to just have NCAA if I need a football fix, and look towards trading in to get NBA 2K or Battlefield later on (guess EA gets my money anyways )

About to go into my second one, turned injuries off due to it creeping up because the Panthers had too many.

i have injured some qbs via a sack but they come back after a couple plays. i haven't knocked one out for longer than that yet.

Audio will not be fixed. Until Madden 13.

Re: playmakers sliders. I have created a cupcake team with sliders heavily favored for the CPU but still give NE a good game, even winning sometimes. Will Playmakers sliders help with that (Brady still throws quite a few picks even with QBA at 100 and my DEF AWR down at 10)?

Oh, I'm not that good either that's why it's so frustrating.

That's about what I was thinking this year, which is why I just picked the game up this week. I haven't even played a game yet, but I figure once I get enough test games in to try out a few different sliders and adjust to my skill level, new patch should just about be available so I can start a franchise.

I'll never buy the game before Sept/Oct from now on ... just too much of a pain waiting on first couple patches which usually fix the major gripes.

The only thing I really want to see is formation subs. Don't understand why NCAA has it but Madden doesn't. I guess I could gripe about more but doesn't seem like anyone is listening sometimes. But hey, they still make their money right?

Honestly, I would not have bought Madden if it wasn't for NCAA doing custom conferences. Can't get one without the other.

Oh trust me, I absolutely hope that is the case - the past has simply shown us that this is typically not the case. I hope your example ends up being something along the lines of what occurs though. **cross fingers**

The NBA2K team has figured out how to patch commentary bugs after release. It can be done.
