Casual basketball fans attempting to debate statistics and ratings? Whatever. If these guys play like their life counterparts, IDGAF.

@ Kobe Lovers

Edit Kobe's numbers to 99's if it hurts you that he has fallen off a little bit and got a lower mid range.

@ Everyone else complaining

Its called the ability to edit. Complain about the ratings all you want but at the end of the day all you need to do is take some time to edit the ratings to get them to your liking.

I'm still pissed about Ben Gordon's rating

# 285 adonis04 @ 09/27/11 09:53 PM
maybe 2k sports should get rid of THE OVERALL RATING so people will stop complaining why is Lebron 98 and Kobe is only 94 etc etc. Just get rid of the overall rating !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its not even about being a Kobe lover. Kobe had a 78 midrange in middle school.

U guys crying about these ratings....omg when is it gonna stop....? I'm not even gonna go there..... U guys r right...2k should just put up polls and let u guys decide who should be rated what in each area....or how about instead of numbers...give out letters...(sarcasm).....

The second we start altering the ratings to account for situations that the game doesnt have an answer for, is when you get the mess 2k gets when the 2k insider does his "magic".

We cant ommit nor alter reality and shouldnt distortionate attributes to account for assumption such as: had he not be defended that well he would have shot a higher %, had he not taken that shot late in the shotclock he would have made it, etc.

Attributes have to be unbiasely assigned so they reflect real life stats and it has to be done to all players, whom have to be subject to the same scale so the game has consistency.

As usual, 2k12 seems to be in route to be "consistent" with past itinerations in that not all players are scaled or reflect ratings obtained from the real life stats ... sadly, they keep altering players to meet certain overalls or to try and please casuals/homers.

These ratings can't be real...I keep looking over them and I can't believe the non-sense 2k has rated some of these players...How is Nate Robinson rated the same as Ben Gordon??

Better yet 2k should use symbols instead.

” Oh sweet Kobe's mid range is ¥!”

What the hell, I just seen Greg Monroe rating is a 67, get the f*** outta here...He was a 4th on the ballot as Rookie of the Year...

# 294 raidertiger @ 09/27/11 10:20 PM
I can live with Curry's rating if he has his sig shots. Can anyone confirm that?

I agree LeBron is much more overrated than Wade. Wade is the best shooting guard in basketball right now and I never said he was not better than Dirk (don't understand why you brought up that comparison). However when you look at Wade's whole body of work he has a tendency to struggle against good defenses and is inconsistent for stretches in his careers. Great player but still slightly overrated.

Also I did not say Wade had an atrocious playoffs. I said Miami as a team was atrocious offensively throughout the playoffs. They scored over 100 points three times throughout the playoffs and one of those was an overtime game. They were survived by great defensive and equally horrible offense throughout the eastern conference. That is why they fell when they finally saw a legitimate offensive opponent.
wade is amazing , he played good againsnt the mavs? celtics? what he did a lot

Some of these ratings a questionable but blake or tyreke ? really you cant see the difference.

Blake gets 30 off dunks lol. plus reke took a hit because of the slow down in play due to injuries and sickness.

Once blake gets a good fundamental basketball game hes gonna be scary!!

Zach Randolph was robbed.

Kobe had the same stats from a year before, so why the drop from 97 to 94? and age shouldnt factor in till we see his play this season and thats doubtful due to the lockout. but did you not see him kill in some summer leagues? looks fine to me
