I don't see Adam Morrison on the free agent list. That worries me.

Curry is 92 on med range and 90 for 3 pt rating, yes! Im shooting dudes lights out next week

Statistics do not tell the full story, some players are defended differently than other players, so they get different results from 16-23 feet.

You mean to tell me JR Smith is a 91 mid range and Kobe is a 78? I don't care what the statistics say, this is awful. You know how many points you can drop a game with a 91 mid range?

Sam Young is a 77 mid range and he's an average shooter.

Zach Randolph only being a 69 mid range, did you guys watch the play-offs?

Stop looking at statistics and look at the games.

If you look at mid-range statistics only, you will get a terrible result from a simulation standpoint, and this roster shows it.

I do agree that Kobe is potentially a better mid-range shooter than the stats would imply, if only he would stop looking at taking absurdly stupid shots as some sort of challenge he needs to prove himself with.

Put the ball in the basket, there are no style points in basketball.

I'm a Bucks fan, but how the hell is Gooden a 91 in anything, much less mid-range shooting?

Edit: And I think saw Earl Boykins is like a 95 shooting close range or something like that.

Not my fault he takes bad/difficult shots. Seriously u swear you guys find an excuse for everything. I'm almost ready to give up.

There is 0 excuses for this. I don't care about % or anything. No way I'm playing online with these ratings. I might strictly be offline this year.
This is terrible Kobe better have 99 OFF THE DRIBBLE SHOT THEN. I dont understand how 2K comes up with these. The people need stop quick bringing out Lebron's midrange shot percentage. dude shoots lay ups or threes. He should make a bunch if lebron is taking 4 mid range shots a game. I cant believe how guys like Juwuan Howard get an 80 and j.r. smith get a 91? 2K is sick.

How is Udoh in the 40's from med range? I remember him shooting solid from there

What excuse am I making? I'm complaining about ratings, I play online, so I have to play with these rosters at times.

This is a ratings discussion thread isn't it?

You're mentioning Kobe taking bad/difficult shots, like J.R. SMith doesn't take bad/difficult shots.

Kobe takes bad/difficult shots because he's the only perimeter scorer on the Lakers, and IDK, the best player of this generation lol.

# 270 ccjj1010 @ 09/27/11 09:06 PM
Im seeing guys like Tim Thomas and Earl boykins with better mid range jumpshots. Embarrassing. Kobe should take his rights away from this game immediately and let 2K put in a roster player.

# 271 JJJ_Joe_Johnson @ 09/27/11 09:09 PM
Ok I'm done! Josh Smith's 3 point rating is higher than Joe Johnson. That's how you know 2k didn't give a **** about the ratings this year.

# 272 ccjj1010 @ 09/27/11 09:09 PM
sasha vujacic better rating then Kobe!!!!!! terrible.

Kobe has a 99 layup(wtf?), a 99 close and only a 78 medium? I'm not one to whine about overalls, but these 3 stats are off...You could argue that not even prime Kobe should have a 99 layup. Med should be at least 85 imo, and I would personally make it 90 if in charge of ratings. We are talking about the guy that routinely drains jumpers right in people's faces while being doubled teamed on a daily basis.

The problem with using field goal percentage as a component of coming up with these ratings is that it doesn't ALWAYS reflect ability.

Kobe's mid range FG% is probably much lower than someone of equal mid range shooting ability because of his shot selection.

FG% not always =/= ability, because shot selection is a part of it. You could shoot the ball like Ray Allen but it doesn't matter if you have poor shot selection.

You're my friend but I gotta disagree!

(in case you were wondering J.R. Smith shot 48% from range)

There are some ratings for a few role players ( Gooden shot 42% from range) so he should probably be closer to 81 based on anequated conversions) I think one of the big discrepancies is how defense affects these shots, you have a 99 in all shooting skills, good defense will pretty much beat you all the time (believe me playing along against guys with maxed out shooting, perfect contests made the shot fall 20% of the time).

Also I think best player of our generation is either Duncan or Shaq.

What planet are you on that deshawn stevenson has the same midrange skill as Kobe Bryant. Both 78. Ur sick homie

# 277 Notorious Arab @ 09/27/11 09:30 PM
To any1 that thinks Kobe's 78 mid range rating is right, u should be imprisoned for life. Im sorry. Kobe should be as close as Dirk in mid range. Kobe def. doesnt deserve a 99 layup either. I think people are forgeting that Kobe is just a couple hundred points away from being top 5 scoring all time.

# 278 RedSceptile @ 09/27/11 09:38 PM
Zach Randolph shot 37% from mid range DukeC.

# 279 GoPistons @ 09/27/11 09:43 PM
Why is Jr Smith ratings higher than Ben Gordon's? Even off a bad year Ben Gordon stats where better in every area then JR Smith's last year..I think I'm going to stick with 2k11 until these people get there stats right

# 280 IrOnKoBe @ 09/27/11 09:43 PM
