A lot less of those high-arching corner jumpshots.

The closeout speed on shooters is really long now. There's no magnetic jumping towards guys on the perimeter. If a guy is open, he'll be open long enough to take a good shot.

re: the Heat playing to the stars, it's really obvious with Bosh. I've not seen him inside much, he's been sitting along the baseline or at the high post waiting for passes from Wade & LeBron.

Those are quicker than last year, but I mean more moving to the left/right and taking a shot.

Am i the only person not finding the demo? I see it under new releases but when i click on it, the demo isn't there. Then when i go to N, i still don't see it.

So I ran into a glitch. Def 3secs was called on the Heat, Dirk went to the line to shoot the FT, but the game wouldn't let me shot the ball. So I was stuck there till I backed out and started up a new game.

Did anybody run into this?

Got murdered the third game.

One thing I can comment on was Kidd losing the ball as I tried to whore out the "push ball" animation with turbo. Pushed once down the field. Pushed twice again and it actually slid right past Dirk who couldn't do anything since as soon as he saw the ball and ran for it, LeBron was right there to throw to Chalmers.

Interesting, at least that shows you can't just speed all the way down the court.

What also interested me was Bosh barely taking shots. I guarded him with Chandler READY for him to do a little size up, jab step and then catch me with a post move like he usually does, but he did his size up and quickly threw to Wade for a better %-age shot. The team REALLY worked through Wade and LeBron.

Here goes Game 4.

Second thing I noticed was on offense, I was sizing up Haslem with Dirk, took a clean jumpshot over him and as it rolled around for about one second, I got an Over The Back with Chandler...something that never really happened that clear for me in 2K11. As soon as I tapped Turbo + Y to rebound, LeBron was in front of me and sold it well. I also still got the points for Dirk's shot.

Wade was MURDERING me. Him, Chalmers and Mike Miller...why? Every single time there was a loose ball, Chalmers and Miller DOVE for it. Literally EVERY possession. There was an inbounds play where everyone was locked defensively and they could only throw to Haslem. CPU tipped it with Dirk. Fernandez goes FLYING. EVERYONE is scrambling. Ball ends up under the hoop where Wade and two defenders are, I think it was Chandler and Butler. Wade grabs the ball, does a turning pump fake but saw everybody, THREW it out to Chalmers and Chalmers wet the 3.

Beautiful...

Within the last seconds I was down 4, and with Intense D, I was able to block Wade with Dirk as he ran directly into the post (Kidd was with me as well), threw out to Caron Butler as he beat Mike Miller to the other side of the court, did a sweet little step into his 3 pointer instead of a bare jumpshot and WET the 3 pointer!

Looked great!
Do tell more

Dont click on the actual demos square. It's outside of that where you select demos, arcade games, etc. Go to the A-Z and go to N, it should be their.

-The post game this year is MONEY(Larry Merchant approved). Like everyone else is saying, Dirk plays and controls like his real life counterpart. The pump fakes, step throughs and up and unders from the post game are easily executed. For one of the few times i can remember in video games, the post became fun.

-Blocks and steals are also tuned, timing is everything this year. Hands up is a great addition and although it took some time to get used to, the wrapping up foul option is a welcomed addition.

-Im not sure what setting the default AI is on, but it's amazing to watch and play against. Miami will destroy you on fast breaks and turnovers, as well as taking advantage of any mistmatch. If you find Tyson Chandler guarding Lebron, its safe to assume Lebron will score (4th quarter excluded)

-The game overall is just baby skin smooth. Any doubts you have about it being worth it after last years game, just let them go and enjoy this game for what it is....and that is artwork.

Back to work

Anyone know about the signature gather/dribble?

Y button is obviously post up now, but i can't imagine 2k getting rid of the sig gather.

# 72 dlew15 @ 09/20/11 06:33 AM
D-wade just caught the sickest tip dunk off a Lebron brick. Wade's so hard to stay in front of.

# 73 Noof @ 09/20/11 06:33 AM
First game, second possession. Pass it to Dirk. Shoot a jumper to check out his release. He falls, gets injured and is out for the game. I laughed.

# 74 dojam @ 09/20/11 06:33 AM
Hold LT and Pull the shot stick back, IŽll get the signature gather.

Have you tried covering Lebron? I swear Butler has two lead feet as he has no lateral speed movement.

Thanks mate for the video, please post more!

Beluba mentioned it another thread, signature gathers are gone. You can chain things together similar to them though.

This 4 minutes isn't enough for me, I'm trying to get the post moves down but I keep getting the stepback jumper.

I can't express how much better and realistic defense is. If you're in a bad spot or your guy is open you are going to get burned, there's no close outs or super magnetic jumps anymore. At best your guy will run out with his hand up and you'll still too far away to make a play.

# 79 bakesalee @ 09/20/11 06:37 AM
The demo was fun, but way too short. If only a quarter, how about a 12-minute regulation quarter?

Also, not being able to run plays was a disappointment. I'm the type of player to run a play during every possession.

Will we have to wait until the next generation of consoles to get white people hair to not look like part of a plastic Halloween costume helmet?

# 80 Finess @ 09/20/11 06:38 AM
Holy DIIIIRK. It feels so BOSS playing with him, actually feels like the Dirk I see on TV torching defenses.
