So what's the word? Is no huddle something they'd be able to fix easily? Or will it take forever? I honestly have no frame of reference when it comes to patches and stuff. The only reason I found this site is because I was so pissed off about the effed up no huddle that I had to google to see if anyone else was having the problem.
Only if they can fix it in a tuner. I seriously doubt there would be a third patch because I think after two patches EA would have to pay for it.
I just got home and turned on my PS3 to play. Hit up the patch before I looked on here. My playbook got shot to ruins, but I guess that's the norm.
My QB (Dynasty) is now ROCKETING the ball in on bullet passes. At least 50% faster than it use to be. The defense seems to be a lot later to react than usual too. This is all on Varsity.
Edit: Another wrinkle: Defenders seem to be completely putting themselves out of the play by jumping in-routes.
The CPU defense does seem slower to react to plays but that's not all bad. I was using MKharsh33's varsity slider set and it was giving me incredibly realistic and competitive games, but now it's just a little too easy. There was a rumor that the Pass coverage slider was broken pre patch. Maybe this fixed it? Sliders definitely need tweaking. Over all play feels real good. Upset about the no huddle though.
For those saying that users of the no huddle should not be trying to change formations during the no huddle you are missing the point. The reason that it is broken is because you cannot keep the same formation set that you were in before UNLESS you happened to already have been in the first set of any said formation. Exp.
Hawaii Shotgun Formation sets:
Flanker Close
Spread
Spread HB Weak
Trips
Trips HB Weak
Trips Open STR
Trips Open
5WR Trips
Let's say your previous play was out of the Trips HB Weak. Once you hit the triangle button you will See Trips HB Weak as the first set available and rightly so because ideally you want to use the same set you were in the previous play cos it saves time, but instead of showing plays from the Trips HB Weak set you will see plays from the Flanker Close, the first set in the Shotgun formation.
This is the case with all formations from I Form to Weak...doesn't matter. The only set available will always be the first set in any given formation.
Look at how the defenders get glitched when I run the option with the QB.
I'm not able to duplicate this in practice using the same play, FYI....playing on AA. Not even when lowering rush defense to zero. Would love to know the settings from when this happened.
Tried several different defenses and the LB/CB's are reacting correctly.
More noticings (all on out of the box settings: Varsity, 50s all over the sliders, etc):
~ Man-to-man defenders are completely moronic when the ball is in the air. 7-yard curl route? Defender just keeps back pedaling until it's caught. In Route? Defender blows past him and ends up out of the play completely.
~ Zone defenders are monsters. They're jumping on the pass even faster than they use to be it seems. I've played a game and thrown ~100 times in practice against both man and Zone, and I must say I don't think I had one pass untipped against Zone.
~ Option is nuts as shown by the videos.
~ Custom Playbooks are broken. I can't remove formations like I use to. Ace-Bunch? There is one play in the formation, it's not an audible, yet I can't remove it? Is 325 players not higher than the min?! This isn't a huge problem for me (yet) since I run out of the Auburn Spread offense. I'll just have to use the Goal Line instead of Wishbone in the redzone.

I am on all american difficulty and using steelerfan's slider set from TGT. Both plays were speed options, my mistake.
**For those people deleting/downloading roster and the patch trying to get tendencies fixed, just wait. If you are downloading a new roster (luv's for example) you are still downloading a pre-patched file, that's why it's messed up.
Wait until luv re-uploads his rosters after he downloads the patch, then game on gentlemen.
I downloaded Luv's file last weekend and mine are good. What I did was save them on a USB drive then deleted all my NCAA 12 files. I then downloaded the patch. Once the patch was done I loaded up the game to the main menu and then backed out, not sure I needed to do that but playing it safe. I then went to my PS3 hard drive to install the roster file from the USB drive. I then load the game back up and all is good. I checked over 10 teams and all were listed like they should be. What ever is listed on the edit ratings page is the same as what is on the view & edit roster page.
This game is just a letdown. What a disappointment on so many levels.
So many of us get so hyped (including me) for this game and look forward to playing it for months and months and now my interest is just flattened.
Hopefully a tuner can correct some of the issues, but I thought most tuners were reserved for gameplay elements? I could be way off though.
Agreed. Very disappointing. I have no interest in turning this into EA bashing or anything like that. I'm also not trying to turn this into a "pro 2k" thread. But I just have to say that it sure does appear that 2k cares more about their fans than EA does. 2k has zero competition once again this year for NBA 2k, yet they are still pulling out all the stops to make this the best basketball game ever.
It simply doesn't appear EA does the same. Do they really care? It would appear to me that they don't because they know that no matter what they screw up, the game will still sell. Their hardcore fans don't makeup a large enough percentage of their customer base so why should they waste their time truly trying to make a complete game.
Once again, this is simply how it appears to me. Perception is not necessarily reality.

Tuner's are for more than just gameplay.
Here's the first Tuner list for NCAA 11:
-Increased the default starting values for all Recruits.
-Slightly increased progression for low and mid tier teams.
-Tuned CPU recruiting to prevent teams from signing too many players at any one particular position.
-Increased CPU’s focus upon needed positions in recruiting.
-Top schools will sign 5 star prospects earlier in the season.
-After a recruit Soft Commits, any CPU team that is not ranked in the top three will spend significantly less time calling the recruit.
-Addressed an issue with big lineman jumping too high and deflecting passes.
-Tuned ESPN U Top 150 Players to be more in line with actual top 150 recruits by decreasing the number of Fullbacks and Kickers.
-Tuned Field Goal, Kick Offs, and Punting in Super Sim.
Two attempts at running the shotgun speed option post-patch, default sliders, AA difficulty with the play shown in the video above (and I think the other team was K-State, if not I apologize)
(CB Blows me up, good example of what was happening anytime I called a Cover 2 zone in practice)
I'm not trying to discredit the other poster here, only stating that this isn't happening every time as most people around here enjoy jumping to that conclusion upon seeing any freak play. Might be a combination of the defense's play call, ratings, or slider setting playing into it (or any number of other things).
