I'm getting sacks, but its because Gilbert is staying in the pocket way too long.
No CPU awareness by the QB near their own endzone. Didnt even try and scramble out to avoid the safety.
The way the players move is almost a game killer for me. Its so bad still. Player can cut on a dime like its nothing. still going full speed making 90degree cuts.
what?
The warping seems to be pretty well controlled . . . had a run by my QB on a broken play where in the past the MLB would have gotten him after about 3 yds. Without the warping effect my QB was able to stay just far enough away to scamper in the end zone.
Yeah the playbook scrolling isn't exactly my favorite, but once I get used to it things should be easier. I like this game, doesn't seem like a whole lot has changed since last year, just more refined. Defenses seem slightly faster, which is nice and the new intro is designed just like the new (last year's) college gameday intro.
For anyone with the game does it seem like the home team have any kind of home field advantage, and also how is the crowd? Do they seem engaged into the game and get loud?
I think the on-field gameplay plays well -- I thought this last year as well. I saw a beautiful diving catch! It made me particularly happy b/c I've seen so many instances in Madden when the receiver makes no play for the ball.
What plagues this game for me is that it's boring. Even though there were several instant replays (liked that a lot), it still feels like traditional EA call play-run play-call play-run play. There's cutscenes in between and what have you, but it doesn't feel like a broadcast to me.
Slap some outstanding in-game presentation on this game, and we've have something spectacular. Maybe they'll follow suit next year with what Madden is doing this year.
One thing to remember when saying man to man coverage is really tight. The four teams in the demo are really good teams with really good players. Dre Kirkpatrick a CB from Bama is a top 10 pick in NFL mock drafts for next year, Cliff Harris of Oregon is projected to be a first rounder. These guys are studs and these teams have top players back there, lets hope that has something to do with it.

Crowd is improved, but still leaves a lot to be desired. During kickoffs they do the ooooOOOOOOOHH! thing that happens in real life, which is nice. They react appropriately to big plays, but still seem quiet. Maybe if you turn up the crowd noise slider in the real game it will be better.
This has to be one of the best Ncaa to be made , when i only score 7 points against the computer lol . But this game challenges you offensively . Cant wait to get it
As far as the crowd goes, I scored on the last play of the half, and FSU went crazy. I don't judge the crowd on demos, cause the crowd noise slider isn't at 100.

In the demo it seams the crowd noise is usually pretty tame, but better in the full version. Not great either way but better then the demo.
Kind of a nitpicky question that would be answered if I waited until the demo dropped on PS3, but I am impatient.
I guess this is a question for FSU fans or people who know their rosters: how do the out-of-the-box rosters look for FSU? I know roster editors and stuff will get it right, but I'd love to see how EA came about this year.
For example: has Lamarcus Joyner (#20) been moved to safety? Is Xavier Rhodes (#27) starting at CB along with Greg Reid (#5)? I'd also love if someone could just list me the numbers of who is starting on FSU (since depth charts are not accessible)
I know its really tedious, but help a PS3, FSU guy out!!
Much love, community!

You are a saint. <3
Quick thoughts: I guess I can see why Thompson is the impact player, but EJ Manuel would be my choice, heck even Zebrie could be an impact player (scouts have him really high on their draft boards).
On defense, I'm so glad they got Jacobbi's number change in there. They failed to put Lamarcus Joyner at starting safety, but I can live with that for two weeks. I completely agree with the impact players on defense, heck I think there could be 4, but Greg Reid NEEDED to be one of them. I understand Nigel and Brandon are going to the NFL next year but G5 is our impact player/game changer. (who else can break Marcus Lattimore's jaw, return kicks and punts, and shut kids down?)
Brandon Jenkins jumps snaps unlike anyone I have ever seen before and Nigel is a smart, powerful linebacker, but G5... man.
I'm so excited for our defense this year under Mark Stoops once again and our recruits are growing well into the system.
