FBGRatings Seeks to Recalibrate Madden Ratings, Change Game

I recentely sat down for a talk with FBGRatings.com's Dan Berens to discuss his site's vision and what's going on over there today. The site is currently working on getting accurate ratings for every player using real hard data converted into the Madden ratings universe. Dan claims that when these numbers are plugged into the game, it plays much better and much closer to real life. Oh, well that's a shame. I had hoped to use your ratings in this year's game. Maybe at some point later in the development cycle you'll be done, then I can use them for my 2nd or 3rd franchise.

Yeah, it's a major bummer to learn that they changed the formulas. I guess if I can get the game early somehow I can calculate all the OVR formulas and plug away for a week straight and get them done by opening weekend. But its a long shot.

Would you say you'll have them done maybe by mid-season?

If they have changed the range, then they won't be done until 2012. If the range is the same, then they should be up and running mid-season at the latest.

The fact that they don't have the new CBA, the running is glitchy and twitchy, and just the general complaints. In fact, I only have one version of Madden for the NextGen. I held onto the PS2 FOREVER because it was sooo much better IMO. But let's not make this a Demo thread.

Why not? I love doing ratings more than playing the game at this point. Especially since EA moved to the nextGen. That totally ruined it for me.

I hear ya. Well I'm trying to upload some stuff tonight. Then this weekend I will update the rosters with appropriate positional changes, hts, wts, and jersey numbers.

The once the game drops I will rent it, figure out the formulas, and get the attributes to match the OVR ratings.
