That's what thing that needs to be detuned

Also, is it just me or does every player have the same running motion ?
Don't tell me 2k took a tip from EA Sports
It ain't just you ALL PLAYERS do have that PF/C running motion, which I HATE...They should've left it how it was b4 the patch.

What's the point in trying to play a point guard if the game won't let you turn off the auto play-calling?
i can't even call plays as a pg
imagine how I feel
FML -_-

Everything's a lot tighter, and I don't know if it's just me or not, but the lateral movement of the players seems quicker now, it's not as sluggish but still retains momentum. I'm loving the increased contact and fouls too, makes for a much more realistic experience, as if it wasn't close enough already.

The only thing is you'll probably have to re-adjust how you shoot, I found that with the improved timing a lot of the jumpers I could hit consistently with certain players is now a bit different, but it's welcomed and appreciated.

finally. now the only problem is that this game has to compete with gran turismo 5 and black ops.

Also why is the NBA logo STILL on the inside of the Right sock when its suppose to be on the outside... players shoes are still seeking through the outside court in My Player mode and players are still shooting freethrows with foot on and sometimes pass the line...still only 1 outside court and the outside broadcast dynamic camera is still TRASH compared to the 1 in your MyPlayer season LoL nice patch 2k nice patch

I love the game now even more than I did before, took me most of the day and alot of frustrating games where I could not hit a shot with Pierce or Allen, so I hit the practice gym and just shot the ball with them to until I forgot about their old release point and not I am killing point defense is amazing the game is amazing thank you 2k.

The Patch was suppose to, but Ronnie had said that it may not work if you file is corrupted if it is then you will have to start over same as last year the patch worked for some with the freezing and not for others.

I started myplayer over to see if it was any different. There's no crowd at the combine, but you can hear them occasionally. Point guards are playing like they did pre-patch. <--Still in combine. -sidenote- Do I really need to be reminded we're playing man to man defense every time we come up court?

This game is too damn good now. This thing's got me up til 4AM post-patch, I never do that with any video game anymore.

Just had the most ridiculous double OT '95 Knicks @ '95 Bulls game, pulled off the hard fought win on the road despite MJ heroics in regulation and the first OT. This game is heavenly now, I don't have a single complaint with it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm okay here's my take on the patch updates:

I just finished an association game with the Charlotte Bobcats vs the Orlando Magic year 2 of the franchise.

My immediate takeaway is that the game seems MUCH EASIER. Your players have much more responsive control, allowing your offense to flow more efficiently, fast breaks to actually work, and reaction time upped to the point of forcing 7 TO's from CP3....hmmmm.

Also, the game seems much FASTER. I can't really put my finger on exactly why, but it seems like everyone moves around the court with more quickness. I traded for Jason Thompson, and before the patch, getting his slow *** up the court took some work. Now, he hustles up the court in no time. DJ Augustin is a friggin BLUR now.

Along with the players running faster, I feel like the pace is quicker as well. More fast breaks occur (which is nice, because you can ACTUALLY RUN A FAST BREAK NOW) and the CPU seems to get shots off much earlier in the shotclock...they don't get stuck in inane dribbling animations as much...actually, the CPU offense seems to overall move with more purpose. I was very pleased to see this. The CPU was more efficient and properly aggressive...although they turned the ball over 9 more times than I did...not too happy about this.

AND SWEET MERCIFUL BABY JESUS, 2k now allows you to skip past the substitution overlays!!!!!!! I feel like this shaves 15 minutes off the friggin length of the game. So happy they decided to do this.

The little things:

- When behind the backboard, players actually arc the ball over it to prevent it from slamming against the side...hit a sweet fallaway J over the backboard with my rookie SG in the game...and saw the CPU doing this as well. NICE.
- No more high-arcing layups. Layups are MUCH more realistic.
- The bumping animations have been improved. I feel like 2k reached a nice compromise. You're gonna get bumped out on the perimeter, but now there's an included animation available where your player will fight to curl his way around the defender. This is awesome, and balances the dynamic.
- Players are ready to catch and shoot 2x faster it seems like. The whole drive N dish dynamic has been improved IMO. I was driving with DJ and kicking like there was no tomorrow. Players are in much better position to quickly assume their shooting motions...love it.
- YOU CAN TAKE CHARGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although there was a few times I was blatantly setup to take it, and the CPU ran into me anyways. Haven't seen the CPU try to take a charge yet, though.
- There seems to be a drastic reduction in fouls called...play around the rim is more physical, and I saw some new animations in the paint, including my big man trying to shove Dwight Howard when he did a power move for a dunk. But, there were almost NO fouls called throughout the course of the game. Hmmmm.

So that's what I takeaway from the patch after the 1st game. All in all, the game just seems easier. The CPU turns the ball over way too much, and I feel like the majority of the changes aid the player. I'm going to have to upgrade to Superstar because Allstar seems WAY too easy now.

I'm excited by the new pace of the game, and how the canimations seems to have been greatly improved. The game just flat out plays smoother and faster, and when I find an adequate difficulty level with the right settings for fouls being called, I'll be in VIDJA GAME BLISS.

Thanks 2k.

What settings are you rolling with ehh?

I was using Pro/Sim, 12 minute quarters but couldn't get anywhere near realistic scores (too low) in my 2 games for some reason.

"-PlayVision art is now drawn on the floor when the CPU calls a play, easily enabling the user to follow the action on the court."

About time. Completely changes the way you play MyPlayer now.

I'm on All-Star with quickness and vertical at zero and the usual shooting sliders, 46/46/48/46 I believe (inside, close, 3, layups) for hum and cpu. Everything else is default.

The CPU is a million times better in terms of their IQ and the variety of play you see from them. Things were starting to get very bland and repetitive to me after nearly two months with the game pre-patch. Just seeming much smarter, more aggressive and less robotic behavior from them.

The new charging/blocking changes the game a ton. Finally a game has players attempting to draw charges on the regular. It needs to happen even more often but at least there's a starting point.

havent looked through this entire thread but has anyone noticed that on certain contact animations that aren't in the paint, the ball speeds to the basket like a bullet? like it has been shot out of a grenade launcher not a basketball player's hand? lol it doesnt really matter and doesnt make my experience any less enjoyable, just wondering if anyone else had noticed

hey mate, are you aware that if you go below 35 quickness the ability to change shot mid air, disappears???

I'm going to up the shooting to what you use as they are pretty darn low on the default all star which makes for baaaad %

Just a quick question:

Will I need to restart my Season for this patch to take effect, or can I just install the patch and continue my season?

Looks like slider re-adjustments (like rebounds fr example), are needed now, since the patch fixed this problem

I am starting to think Roster edits will need to be readjusted also? Like 'Vertical' rating for players
