NBA 2K11 patch v1.2 is available for the PS3 and 360. Please post your impressions here.

Just in case you missed them last night, here are the patch details.

Everything is getting better imo...Love how I can actually draw fouls now but the shooting seemed to take a little more adjusting to.

You have to understand that it's silly at best to restrict people who are able to score at will from having fun with it instead of just forcing them to have a "i'll just do it myself then" attitude. And before anyone says they break the play and do whatever they need to, I'm not having that experience at all. As a matter of fact, when I catch the ball and break the play the only person who goes into motion is the PF who stands by the rack to grab a rebound; the rest just sit in place and the PG gets that little "A" over his head (wanting me to pass it back). Sucks. I mean, prior to this patch, I could draw a double team after starting motion that would lead to a FG, or at least an attempted one, and I felt good about involving everyone. Now, if I want to score well, or stand out as a player in my player (and trust me, that's the only reason I'm playing my player) I'm forced to ice out my team-mates. That's just dumb, flat out.

Well you have a 92 rating so you will probably get more touches than your teammates. I have a 70+ rating and they don't pass it to me as much.

Well are you the "floor general"? Did your team give you that responsibility? Maybe you can call plays if your the floor general? In my case, everyone gets a good number of shot attempts and for a 70+ guy I am satisfied with my touches.

I think the automatic play calling in my player mode is a good idea that's flawed in it's execution. In reality you would get benched for not following the plays, but what about the point guards who stood there and couldn't improvise? They would be on the bench beside you. I really wish the game graded everybody on the court. -anyway- I use the player lock camera. Most of the time I can't even see where the spot on the floor is without running around.

verdict= MAKE IT OPTIONAL.._ (at least until it can be implemented correctly)

Well....shooting was hard online before the patch & now it's just as hard/harder after the patch. I can tell by the freethrow timing. Before it was a bit early now its way late (This is comparing one player, say Jose Calderon's release pointon FT's). I kinda liked shooting pre-patch better.

i find it easier to shoot jumpshots whether the midrange or three after patch =/

The free throws are ridiculous after the patch. Teams are shooting 50 FT:s per game now.

I am guessing the main reason people are missing so many jumpers is that the shot timing was changed to be later? My myplayer SG already had a slow release and now its even slower.

One thing I really wish they had done is allow for different lengths of season for myplayer. 82 games is just WAY too much to get to experience most of the mode. At the rates points come in you basically play a whole career in one year.

My buddy who is an avid My Player mode player told me today he was having a hard time hitting jumpshots after the patch. At first I thought he was joking because I was playing my Association earlier and it seems it's easier to hit jumpshots after the patch including 3pt shots. I guess he's not alone.

Since the patch the game freezes after saving then exiting season to go back to the main menu.

It's not my touches, and it's not me calling plays that I want. It's forcing people into motion so I don't have to waste time calling plays and can pay more attention to who is open on the fly rather than who "might" be open in 5seconds.

Also, you might of noticed, that you can no longer set picks on the fly which makes getting good grades a lot harder. My poor center can't get an A+ in 5 min quarters to save his life (sucks that he's been getting an A every time, and it wants an A+ because he avgs A+).

Yup I noticed the picks not being used unless if its for a play. Well that's a valid point but I just will not agree with you that it became harder since in my experience it was really easier to win this time.

I guess that's their way of balancing this "exploit" (milking the picks to have an A+ grade). I don't think that's the best way to balance it but it sure does work. They should use picks if the play is broken, I agree with that.

this was happening to me pre-patch and Ronnie said it was supposedly going to be fixed fixed in the patch when I tweeted him about it and from what I can tell, it was NOT fixed. I tweeted him again after seeing that it didn't get fixed, so hopefully he'll have some feedback but Im really pissed about this not being fixed. I could care less about the Cavs real courts vs. having a game freeze every time.
