NBA Elite 11 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3, 360)

The NBA Elite 11 demo is available for PS3 users. If you don't see it, just use the search function in the PSN Store, it weighs in at 923 MB.

The 360 demo should be arriving at around 5:00 - 9:00AM EST. When it is available, we will update this post.

UPDATE: The 360 demo is now up. Queue it up right here.

I can't tell if I am having input lag or if the game just feels a half second behind on everything.

I don't want to beat down the effort by the dev team, but last year when I played the Live demo I loved it (coming from someone who played 2k for years) This year I don't get that feeling AT ALL.

I am going to play quite a bit more, but my first impression is not good.

(and yes I did practice)

The new controls are good and creative.

BUT the graphics look like you're watching a cartoon and the movement is very jerky, awkward and not realistic or smooth at all. What happened to the motion capture!?

VERY ODD, my game feels like its running 200 frames per second, guys are going way to fast. This game reminds me of an early version of NCAA 10 from last season.

All I can say is wow!!! I don't know if it's just the old feel playing with the PS3 controls or what, but man. I am not digging this, practice mode just got a lot of my time and still not feeling it.

Graphics are straight up terrible to me and movement is so delayed. I just recorded 3 videos. And I hope to get them to my Youtube page by tomorrow evening.

Will download the 360 version over the weekend when I get my console unpacked and renew my Gold.

Like Pared said though, presentation is nice and crowd looks great too. On the court is another story, everything about it is not good at all to me.

Go back again because you obviously mis-read my comment. I'm talking about the content of the demo, not whether you think the game is good or not.

Yeah animation is the poorest I've seen in this generation of consoles for a BB game, no kidding, hard to believe honestly they are this poor. Some heads need to roll at EA IMO - the animation/motion capture guys need a VAST OVERHAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

The game has an incredibly spastic quality to it that makes you always feel out of control. Is there a game/ player speed slider?

Yes! That is definitely the feel I get from it. Everything is way too fast. I must say I'm really disappointed.

There's two parts to this:

One, the 360 version should play more smoothly. The version I played was much smoother than this. MUCH.

Two, if you're referring to your player in practice mode, I believe it has to do with his low ratings. 5on5 I don't feel any of what you're talking about, but in practice I do.

Pared, there is something wrong when the 360 version plays better than the PS3. They should be equal. PS3 users are getting shafted if this is the case.

I would have settled for Live 10 with these controls. I don't know if I can bring myself to buy a different game, I guess it might be Live 10 for another year.

This demo has so many issues, I really think patches couldn't fix them.

Hmmm so I guess EA got rid of sprint button for all of their sports games this year. So do players have like an auto sprint feature a la Madden and NCAA ? Where as players sprint automatically given the right situation ?

This has ALWAYS been the case for many cross-platform titles that are developed on the 360 and ported over. I still find it odd that some of you are naive to this fact.

While they should be equal, often times they are not. I would bet this is one of those times.

One, I don't care about the 360 version because I have a ps3.

Two, I am talking about the time spent from pushing a button to having an action carry out. Like when I am trying to switch on defense or bring up passing icons. The game is playing fast, I just can't keep up with it because of what I called input lag, or whatever it is.

In Charles Barkley's voice "this is Terrible" the movements look awkward players look like they are starving for food and everything feels clunky and delayed...what is dis like seriously...no bueno at all...back to fifa 11 and 2k i go

You know I was thinking the exact SAME thing. I wanted elite to be good but it looks TERRIBLE. You all should have built on 10 instead of changing to THIS. I'm at a loss for words. The way things are going ea is not going to have a bball division.
