I'm spoiling myself by using Kobe for hours on end and destroying Boston with the new isomotion. When the retail drops and I'm stuck with the Knicks I'm not going to know what to do.
Feel like saying it again, I'm really, really digging this demo. Seriously if the retail doesn't improve an ounce from the demo I won't care - this plays a damn good, fun game of basketball.
Man cant stop playing the demo...i absolutely Love isomotion now that i got the hang of it

Agreed man....I absolutely cannot wait to see what everyone else can do as well...especially Durant
Yeah definitely, I have a feeling Durant will be the best player in the game and the most fun to use. Just seeing how much space you can create with Kobe and his sig stuff in the demo. Man it will be crazy using Durant and popping J's and driving to the hole.
I just love that there is FINALLY the "if I want an open jumper I'll get it as I please" feel for someone of Kobe's level in a 2K game.

Wow making the switch between the two demo's is crazy, it took me 5 mins to figure out how to play this game again lol! Isomotion makes a lot more sense now that I've played some bball from the N/S cam though.
I wasn't playing the angles well before, but now I'm really starting to see the beauty in the controls. Still feel like some of the moves have a lil too much momentum but it makes a lot more sense now that I can "see" some of the driving angles.
i wish I was lying when I say I've played the demo for at least an hour each day since it came out. The time goes so fast, and when the horn sounds i keep saying "Ok, one more" until i finally have to MAKE myself stop. I agree with whoever said that if the retail played just like this and didn't add anything I would be satisfied. And thats crazy to think that this is without any commentary, no higher difficulties or being able to touch Gamestyle or run plays. Yet its THIS much fun.
Kobe has never felt so dangerous. The addition of pull up jumpers and the new iso controls COMPLETELY opened up this game, especially for a player on his level. I love how its all starting to connect mechanically in my head and i can see when I have a man beat and the options in front of me and how to react. And just a little too much space from the defender and J AWAY!
I have to say, I have never had this much fun NOT dunking in a video game. Up til now, that used to be the most rewarding pay-off in a video game, breaking your man down and driving and throwing it down. Now being able to create so many graceful, fluid moments like driving hard across the lane and spinning back into a jumper, shooting a fadeaway over a smaller defender, or just putting the defender on skates just before you rise up in his face...these are just as exciting and probably even MORE so than any dunk I've seen so far in the demo...and I LOVE IT. Good thing I took off work that week this game comes out. You can only call in sick so much
Cannot wait to stop playin' the demo and start playin' the retail...too much of a tease...haha....I'm LOVIN' the Demo!
My only gripe with the series so far is the darn SOUND of when the ball hits the rim on a miss...UGH! It just sounds horrible...the echo is bad, and the ball does NOT sound like that during a t.v. broadcast - it's just a VERY weird sound when the ball hits the rim...kinda like it hitting a garbage can rim...weird...
The demo itself was disappointing for me. I wish it was longer, and gave you more options other than just playing with LA.
The gameplay itself is solid as always. I've been a 2K only NBA player for about 8 years. The players look better on 2K than they do in Elite (now that I've played both demos).
But the defense in 2K is what sells it for me. 2K9 took the defense out for some reason. It came back last year and remains with 2K11. In ast games I could take a guy like Kobe, hit the buttons to do a shot/layup and would get to the basket. This year, even with Kobe, it's not that easy. You'll be defensed better and end up taking a more difficult jumper than getting to the hoop for a layup.
Overall, can't wait for the full game. Can't wait to start playing with the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls.
I'm really loving the demo even after playing it so many times.
One negative though, I hope in the retail version on pc they make a graphic options that allows the subbed players getting off the court to retain the high detail model.
Probably most of you must have noticed cause it was there in last years version too but subbed players become low poly/detail all the sudden and even lose their accessories when they are heading to the bench, it kinda takes you out of the experience when you see that.

Funny because Elite nailed the rim sound this year IMO...
I don't know if this has been asked and answered by one of the devs like beluba, i really would like to know that if there is any chance the controls will be a little bit lighter than demo with the full game, is it possible to tweak it more, or already done.

I hope my question is clear, thx in advance.
It's not really sluggish it's more that you have to learn how to use the sticks in a bit more subtle ways. Takes more training that it did in 2K10 where the response was sluggish.
Loving the demo, but there is still a small issue from previous 2ks that remains.
There are occasions where bigs will step up when a ball-handler is close, mostly in transition and will allow for an easy lead-pass-for-a-dunk opportunity.
yes, this is my main problem with the game...
that and the unstoppable turn around post shots...there have been many times where i have contested Garnett's turn around shot and my forearm literally goes through the ball and he still swishes it...i was hoping this year we would see an end to these cheesy ball clipping issues...in that situation, it should be a block...what's the point of contesting his shot if he can just shoot the ball right through your arm and swish it? it doesn't reward you for playing good defense....and even if he did manage to make the ball go through my arm, the shot still should miss on the basis that i was heavily contesting him with my arm all up in his space...if they're going to allow the ball to go through my arm, at least give me a brick off the rim for my good defense.
I myself think the demo was great but I am disappointed that you could only choose LA this year. I'm a Lakers fan though so it doesn't bother me as much. I was just hoping to be able to play against a friend on the demo. Also, the stripping of the audio sometimes makes the demo boring for me.

I'm hoping this is just due to the gamestyle.
In every previous 2k game, there was no release point on these shots; it was rating based. I believe there is supposed to be one this year, although I am not seeing it.
I hope its gamestyle as well....even though I havent really experienced what what your talking about Blues. If anything, I feel I get too many blocks in the post sometimes.....post moves just dont get blocked that often...the majority of the time you just want to get a good contest...
DEMOS ARE CONSOLE SPECIFIC. STAY AWAY FROM THE WAREZ .
I don't think this is "WAREZ". As far as I know it is perfectly ok to do this. Certainly I have taken other demos during the first week from a 360 with gold to a 360 with silver via a USB flash drive without any problem. I don't know that I tried doing that without any Live enabled profile at all, though.
