Didnt wanna make a whole new thread to ask this....Has anyone heard if they worked on the online Team Up mode at all? If this mode wasnt so laggy and had a few more options thats all I would play, but were goin in what? the 3rd year for this mode and it has never worked properly yet...im starting to lose hope!

noone knows yet, but they are dedicated a whole developer insight to online play i think the week after next.
i m at work and just realize that i can stop thinking about this game...
so much in 1 a year dev cycle.
i mean we 're waitin for a espn 2k5 or ch 2k8 type of game, the kind of game that happened every 5 or 6 years.
when i read all those positives posts by OS veterans, you know it s special, i never read so much positive on a demo since i m on this board.
Cant wait for the retail

Thanks for not starting a new thread. Just for that, I'll answer your question.
Yes, they have re-tooled online (yeah, you've heard it before). Most of the connection issues last year weren't because of the netcode but problems with roster integrity checks and other little glitches.
Supposedly they were cleaned up and we'll finally see the work put into online.
I love the fact that players automatically step behind the 3 point line when they receive a pass out there. No longer will I drain a three only to see 2 points put on the scoreboard because he had his toe on the line.
I've heard about this. I do not have the demo right now so I ask, how reliable is this little "make certain I'm behind the line" maneuver? Will all players do this within the right context? It sounds pretty nifty.

Though I've heard claims that guys like Gasol will use it (huh?), it's worked exactly like I'd hope and it's cool that you can still get a toe on the line on occasion - just like in real life.
The demo is tight!! Even without the commentary I love it, can't wait for oct 5th... Here's something I noticed & maybe its because this is the demo but take a look at KG's kicks..aren't they generic's & not adidas? Same for Ray Allen?? If I'm not the only one that sees this than I'm pretty sure it was due to this being the demo version...oh yeah someone asked how to throw alley opps well its LT & the B button this year.

Some of them step TOO far back. This has always been an issue with player positioning with 2k's setup. A few years back they changed the range of success on where a 3pt shot (by request ) but never changed where the AI steps.
And if they did, I still haven't noticed enough of a difference from behind the TPL, only in front of.

This is one of the coolest additions to the game for me.

I never heard of this until now !!??!!??
How does this work EXACTLY ???
The AI does this when you throw a pass into the "corner three" area ??
Is anybody having trouble triggering the hard fouls? Sometimes I trigger it but sometimes the defender just stands there. I'd rather just do an aggressive swat. At least I know I'm jumping.

The more I use it, the more I believe it's the intentional foul trigger moved to a new control scheme. I thought, at first, they would at least jump into the air to try to force some kind of contact but now that I've seen it plenty of times I realize that it didn't work unless he was already on the ground. If his target's already in the air, it's too late.

Thanks for your view on it. It's strange, I can intentional foul with RS + RT or the select button. I wonder if they'll keep it this way for retail. It seems like they could just leave intentional fouls for the select button only.
After playing the demo for a few days I have to say WOW!!! This is what real basketball is all about, incredible. I see a huge difference from last year. This has been such a great year for sports gamers.
And thank you to all who have posted tips on isolation, it has made such a difference for me. Makes the game so much more enjoyable when u understand it.
Hey Mike Wang..I don't know if this will be a problem in the final product, but I did something yesterday that had me wondering if this might become a glitch in the final product.....
I had just started my game (demo) and I got to an out of bounds play so the referee was giving the ball to the out of bounds player, and I wanted to see if I could make the hard foul work so I pushed the button command and my player went to foul the out of bounds player, so he grabbed the out of bounds player and the out of bounds player dropped the ball, the referee did not call the foul and the game just kinda froze from that point on,
now the referee was still counting the 5 secounds for the player to inbound but the game just stayed stuck ...not in the sense that everything was frozen but nothing happen to reset the game back to the out of bounds possession...the players just kept moving like they were trying to get open, the ref kept counting..so after I watched that for a while, I couldn't get anything else to happen,..... so I just quit the game and when I played again everything was fine after that...weird...lol
Personally, I don't like that one of the R stick directional defensive commands is for "take a charge" There's already a button assigned to that?!? Im having problems consistently putting hands up to contest pass. Will controller configuration allow us this much detail in customizing to our liking? Maybe this is where the camera relative thing is throwing me off again...
I'm really enjoying the demo even more than i was at first.....I thought it was okay when i first downloaded it cause i couldn't understand the controls.....Practice makes perfect now i'm crossing ray allen over on the baseline going in for a reverse layup for the and 1.....Beautiful when i first did it and i'm so impressed with the presentation aspect of it
The most badass thing about the demo IMO is that before it came out Ronnie from 2k said the build we're playing now is weeks old so some the things we are not so high on might get ironed out before Mass production
