Got it...this is truly the first year I have ever thought of buying both NBA games. I think gameplay should be fun with NBA Elite and the ability to play with my favorite NBA era in 2k11 will be sweet as well.
I'm glad they threw a few "teaser" clips either way. Its cool to see something that is going on besides just "hype" and talking.
Actually those clips weren't bad. Interestingly enough the one that had me the most excited was the one where Bynum lost the dribble. We've all had games where a center that has no handles gets the ball on the post and does a couple cross-overs to weave to the lane. This is a very nice sight for me!
i'm kind of on the fence when it comes to the dunk on animation, even though it was sweet to see collisions again...i think the dunk should have been altered. Sheed isn't no allen iverson, he can hold his own against an artest.
As for the block animation, im so excited. there will be highlights galore this season. I'm also excited that bynum lost the handle, it's good to see that the development team is doing their thing. ANNDD the lakers jerseys looked nice.
I got a question though...why wasn't Artest's dunk animation altered by 'sheed's collision?
I'm working on that today actually. We don't have player ratings in yet for in air collisions so it's a very simple algorithm that decides if one, both or none get altered and by how much.
What you see in this video is extremely rare in the game right now, which was one of the reasons we captured it.
I'll see if I can get you guys some examples of dunk on attempts that do get altered for some of the next videos so you can see the difference.
What you see here should really only play for a very, very strong player dunking on a very, very weak player.
