Well, just played against the Sooners and got 4 sacks myself. And the two times the QB threw it away in similar situations where both picked.

What i really hate about this game is the quarterback scrambling, using miami or ohio state, i can successfully rush for 5-10 yards with ease by running immediately after the snap out of the shotgun formation, over and over again i have won using this strategy and many times i have ran for large gains 40 and 50 yard touchdowns even. If it remains this way when the full version comes out i will not be playing against any teams online that have mobile quarterbacks, i HATE THIS!!!!

But if history means anything...as time goes by, more and more issues will be discovered. And the love boat may turn into the Titanic. Hopefully not.

That's why i said I only use Madden ratings on NCAA rosters because those ratings make the games more SIM.
If you like i can show several Michigan WR's from 3-4 years ago who no longer are in NCAA but you'll see players in NCAA have those players ratings the next year.
The only thing that changes is the players Jersey #, Height, Weight and Year on NCAA.
So if that guy is actually doing ratings that you speak of then he's copying the ratings from Madden and only altering them slightly

I'm loving the fact that the cpu is only 3 for like 8 in made field goals thus far on Heisman. Unfortunately, I'm like 9 for 10, only miss being that it fell short.
Really hoping next year they implement a new kicking mechanism for the user.

The game in itself plays much smoother than NCAA 10 however player physiques are still way off. Some corners are much much too big and some linebackers are much too fat. The PS3 demo is quite dark with it's lighting, not so sure bout the 360 yet but I'm probably gonna get it for the 360.

Captured some footage from the demo. It takes time to get used to but I am enjoying it. The only thing I dislike is the camera before the play begins..it is way too high up and away from the player in my mind.
Gamespeed is too fast... ruins the game. Hopefully Madden will be slower. Since when is the college game faster than the pros? Ncaa should be "Very Slow" and Madden should be "Slow". Hope they fix this for the actual release but I doubt it.

regarding the sliding feel, what i meant is the running animation, the players don`t seem to plant their foot and touch the ground... they looks like they are "sliding" instead.
i really hate the running animation right now. Before it was really awful, but now is just painful.
I believe the locomotion has something to do with it, since madden has the same issue right now.

Well that's quite funny isn't it. We all like the new stuff but we're willing to overlook that the basics of human movement are more broken then ever. You can't change direction on a dime if you are running full speed and you don't magically warp a few feet. And you are surely not gliding above the ground. It just looks so wrong to me, even more so after a game of Backlbreaker.

good thing they have game speed slider to solve your problem
This game just doesn't work for me. The colors look weird and off, kind of cartoonish. As someone else said, the players models are way too big for their position. I'll hold off buying this game and see if the final reviews are good, but going off this demo, there is nothing worth getting excited about.
What's up with the playcalling system? I don't mind the format, but the play selection screen. You have 3 plays listed and have to scan over the play of your choice and hit A. Talk about making things hard. Way to streamline things EA!

i think the game is great. simple as that. i thought my EA sports football days were over after last yrs games(just got tired of the same recycled gameplay every year), but this yr it actually feels like a new game to me. 2 thumbs way up.

After playing all of the games in the demo, I am beginning to come around to it, although I am finding that completing a pass is almost impossible no matter if your on Heisman or Varsity. It seems like even if your reciever was able to get around the defensive back, which rarely happens, another defender will always magically turn right away even if he is running a different direction, and will magically turn and get to the the ball within a second to swat it away. And running the option is too easy if you make the correct read and the QB keeps it. Thats not how it is in college football. Even if you make the correct read, you may not pick up a huge chunk of yardage, especially if the QB keeps it. In the game, when I hand it off in a correct read, the RB does not pick up a huge chunk of yardage ever, and only picks up about 3 or 4 yards. The QB, however, picks up a huge chunk of yardage almost all the time. The least amount of yardage I picked up was 6 and the most was about 30, and I am constantly picking up anywhere from 10 to 25.
