I liked the demo. Big upgrade from NCAA 10 demo imo. I wasn't blown away although I'm still working off some rust but it's a day one purchase for me. I need longer quarters to work on the ground game. (Longer version of impressions in my sig).

In the main menu there's the "share with a friend" option after all of the match ups you can play. Go to that and it'll let you pick what friend to send it to.

I'm in the 2nd quarter of my game, and I can already tell that this is going to be an offensive minded game... Every single pass you throw is going to connect with something... Not your receiver, but somebody's gonna catch that damn ball :P

P.S. Mizzou's offense is pretty difficult to defend....

Second, I tried both demos and must admit I'm in a bit of a shock regarding the technical standpoint of the PS3-version.

The 360-version not only runs at 1080P (likely upscaled but who cares) and looks much crisper, it also runs much more fluid. The PS3-version has horrible stuttering, lousy blurry textures (midfield logos, jerseys etc) and microfreezes when you've selected a play from the play calling menu. It simply hangs for a fraction of a second and then goes on. It's absolutely horrible.

The 360-version on the other hand has far less jaggies and flickering (looks like better AA or at least some sort of AA where the PS3 version seems to go without), much better textures and none of those freezes.

I'm totally surprised to see such a huge difference between the two version. I wanted to buy the PS3-version (because I don't have 360 gold to play online) but the PS3 is pretty much unplayable.

Has anyone seen similar things?
Not at all. I played the PS3 version and it looked great.

It looks like acc clock is in, although it only runs off the game clock for only 10 seconds (from 40 ot 30 on the play clock). I hope in retail we have the option to change the runoff.

Quick question, I thought it was possible to spin using the right stick in circular motion, but I haven't been able to do that. Have you?

Late game ai is something that I hope gets fixed in the final. I was up 3 on Florida and they had the ball needing about 60 yards in a little under a minute. First 2 plays were draws with timeouts after each one. On third down they passed for a first but then after rushing to the line they ran another draw play then called timeout again. They had moved 15 yards in 4 plays and used all 3 timeouts. Not good. After they were out of timeouts they did pass, but they wasted those timeouts. Anyone else seen poor late game ai?

1. I liked last years audible and play selection screen better. It takes too long to cycle through plays, particularly defensive plays against a no huddle team.

2. Rain. Just like last year, it seems any game played outside in a southern state is in the rain. Yes it rains more than other places in the south. But I can count on my hands the number of times I watched a game in the rain the last couple of years.

I played the demo a lot last night and the only place the game did not rain while playing was the tOSU and Miami match up. EA please tone down the rain showers. I'm tired of playing almost EVERY game in the rain with random weather is turned on.

3. Lack of a pass rush. I only managed to get 3 sacks total last night in the game. That was only when I dialed up a safety blitz. My D-Line men are getting flattened almost instantly when I try to bring pressure. I hope sliders can help fix that.
I agree with #1, half the time I was cycling through plays I didn't even have time to pick my defensive play...do not like that at all.

I think there may be something like this. I went to juke left but my thumb kind of slipped I guess and my RB spun left and I didn't hit circle. I did it by accident but it happened

I really hope so because my demo impressions where that the 360 looked and played much better. I can't buy the 360 version though because it's unlikely that it's codefree (as many EA games are codelocked) for us from the old continent.

The output on the PS3 is only 720P though where the 360 offers 1080P.

I read many of the impressions before getting to play the demo this morning and knew that the hype would be stymied some having actually gotten our hands on the game and get to nitpick every little issue. After playing the game myself, I will be preordering it for the first time in 4 years. Perfect? No. I have been playing an online dynasty with some buddies in NCAA 09 and 11 is just great. Granted I only played one game, but the feel is just right for me. The CPU ran the ball on my, threw deep and I really had to think about my defense. The score was a little high for my taste for an 8 min game, but knowing the CPU is probably in 2 min offense mode most of the game, it's understandable. I'm sure there will be moments that aren't well scripted, but this year looks good to me and I am looking forward to the online dynasty stuff. I hope they release a demo website so we can look around and see what it's going to look like before they release the game.

Played it love it

ONE complaint is that its not always a smooth framerate during a tackle

Hmm that is strange, looking through the new additions menu under gameplay additions the description for locomotion says " from an explosive first step to the ability to stop momentum on a dime, locomotion put's you in complete control of your player at all times."

That must be a poor word selection on their part, because isn't the whole point of locomotion to have proper momentum keeping players from stopping on a dime.

Also, while not confirmed, it is believed that the version of the game I played in late April may have also been a newer version that what the demo was built on. Roy was going to look into this and let me know. To me, the version I played was light years better than the demo- and the demo is pretty darn good.

Woooow...this is good piece of information right here. If they tightened up gameplay from the demo I'll be very impressed!

Oh and the play of the game for me was a pick 6 that happened in the 2nd quarter. I am playing on PS3 so maybe the play of the game issue is just on the XBOX. I even got a few replays at the end of the game for a recap. Maybe you have to have a HDD to get the replays in the demo?

Penalties? Are there any in here or are they broken again? Especially PI?

Thanks!

Haven't seen barely any penalties at all. 1 hold and 1 clip in about 8 games so far. Seems like penalties are still lacking unfortunately.

Thanks! Good 'ol NCAA developers...at least they keep some things consistently wrong!
