Anyone Else Having A Problem Defending The Deep Ball , I've Had Times Where The Opposing Team Would Throw Deep And He Would Be Wide Open Every Time!!

Please correct me if I am wrong but so far it doesn't seem like there is much defense in this game. Is "wide open gameplay" still in? Are anybody's DB's trying to swat down the ball on their own?

I'd say while the presentation is much improved in comparison with last year, an ESPN scoreboard and replay overlays (I don't like the replay angles btw, they should at least mix it up with "regular" angles) don't make great presentation. I still have the feeling like I'm just playing play after play in practice mode, no storyline through the game what so ever. A couple of extra cutscenes would help to.

My biggest gripe with '11 is the new playcall screen though, it doesn't seem very fast to me. But other than that it seems like a good game of football and I really hope they nailed offline(!!) dynasty.

Edit: After a couple of games I witnessed a lot of wide open receivers down the field.

Yes. Just broke up back to back fly patterns ran by Mizzou

Is anyone playing with auto acceleration ON? I'd love to hear about their experience not using the sprint button.

You can't change the controls.

EDIT: No, actually. I was wrong. I'll put auto-sprint on next game and tell you how it went.

seriously
you and I must be playing two different demos then. Locomotion and blocking make this game hands down better than what was offered last year.

Agreed. You can definitely tell a difference in the gameplay, and it's for the better.

the passing game is a thing of beauty. The reaction of the DB's to make plays on the ball, the ability to jam receivers, watching a quick receiver get off the line and beat the DB...so..so..so beautiful.

Locomotion has improved the quality of this game by a substantial amount.

About auto-sprint:

I'll admit it, I've been a lifelong right trigger/button jammer on the NCAA games. At this point, it's pretty much a reflex for me in football games. Snap the ball, then press sprint. So, I decided to turn on auto-sprint after a few games with it off. Locomotion, in my opinion, really shines through with auto-sprint on. True acceleration comes through this way. Yes, I still press the right trigger in as if I'm going to sprint, but it does nothing so I'm getting natural acceleration and it's making the game wonderful.

I remember reading earlier guys talking about the play of the game being the last play of the game. Through 2 games on the ps3 that hasn't been the case. I wonder if it's just something with the xbox360 version because that is very weird.

Just started the Clemson/Mizzou game.

I like how the rain is getting on the camera in the intro.
