And we know that is actually true how? This could very well be representative of the final product, hope it is not, but it is a possibility.

You can tell just by looking at th graphics it ain't in replay mode, jeesh cmon guys..

And yeah, ok, this game is the only game series that is hyped up, there's a honeymoon period with the game, then disappointment sets in, then bugs revealed, then a wishlist, then hope for the next game in the series being better. Yep, EA football are the only video games like that.

You know the term rose-colored glasses? Some of you guys need to take off your EA hate-glasses, LOL. Sure this game series has everything in that list every year but almost every single game out there does as well, just usually to lesser degree in the peaks and valleys. But if you want to pretend that the entire list only applies to EA's football games because that makes you feel better for whatever reason then go right ahead and delude yourself.

well those aren't gameplay camera angles

It's EA's game, they can program those display videos in any fashion they desire. They don't have to go into replay mode like we would to do that.

Surprise that EA hasn't done any damage control yet

# 426 ODogg @ 04/21/10 04:05 PM
It's like those Madden things they show on NFL Fox Sunday where they show the players interacting with Howie and Terry and the guys, they just program them to do what they want. Do you guys really think they play through a play 50 times to get it just right in the game so it happens to coincidentally match up with what they want to display and then record it for the show?? Uhh no..

# 427 ODogg @ 04/21/10 04:06 PM
drlw322 - they don't do damage control when it's the truth and they have no answer for it. That's why there's been no damage control and that's why there will not be. They will simply avoid this thread.

well the guys who went to cd say the game looks and feels totally different when played from the normal gameplay camera so until I see something that proves otherwise I'm sticking with them

(University of Hawaii '98) From cut blocks (another feature missing from the game), double teams, pancake blocks, RIP and SWIM moves that are meant to get you to the QB, and Bull Rush moves that even level OL (all features missing from the game). If a DE or DL tried to rip like that (FSU vs UF gameplay) he'd get his *** handed to em!!! I hope a lot will change before the launch but it's only 3 months away and I doubt it. I think EA's only concern is getting this game out, taking our money, and feeding there fat faces!!! I'm not the type to make insults but hopefully out all of the insults this is another to get your attention!!!
Did you watch our defense last year? heh, jk

I can't say I have been disappointed in any other sports games as much as I have in NCAA the last couple years. Sure every sports games released will always some flaws, like you pointed out even an overall great game like The Show does, but there are several sports games out there including the Show that replicate their respective sports or leagues better than NCAA does. Even down to the representing the basics of the sport NCAA doesn't come close to a game like The Show.

no because that would require they implement more than one camera angle.

then why do they give us only one camera angle?

mgoblue - I realize that but I said that NCAA and Madden have had higher peaks and valleys than other games. But to act as if EA's football games are the only ones that go through that entire process is to profess a sincere ignorance of the game industry as a whole.

Everyone just needs to relax a little. There will be a lot of info released from Friday through the weekend and I think people will start to feel more positive. Hopefully we get a better video to see. Bumble from OS is at EA right now playing all their games and loving NCAA 11 after not liking NCAA 10. He can't say much until Friday due to NDA.

You have a point, but I tend to think that that 80% makes up a very small portion of the buying public. I have plenty of friends who buy this game and Madden, but never go on a forum or visit many websites before buying the game. They see it on the shelves, go "New NCAA/Madden" and drop their $60. We might all be the smarter gamers, but we aren't the be all end all only target for the game.

I remember the guys who went to community day the last couple of years also telling how us how great the game was/hyping it up and look how the final product turned out at least to most of us. It wasn't anywhere close to being a great game. Not to totally discount their opinions but I will take them with a grain of salt. I think the excitement of playing a NCAA for the first time each year may cause some flaws to be overlooked at community day.

It also seems like in general the initial opinion of any game tends to be overly positive before the flaws start to become apparent. I did the same thing with NCAA last year, liked it when I first got it, after that wore off I literally couldn't stand it to the point where I completely stopped playing it.

Initial NCAA11 video should have never been released as it was not meant for the masses. Rest easy all I think fans of the series will like.

For unreleased games, do you prefer to see more footage (that may be in rough shape), or less footage (that is more polished)?

I would say that's obvious.

But I'm 95% sure of what we saw in that video will be in the retail version of the game.
