I am wholly unimpressed by that video. It looks no different than '10 in my opinion. Which isn't surprising, since nothing significant will change in this series in the forseeable future...Anyone expecting major changes is kidding themselves. July, as always, will bring the same NCAA with a slightly new coat of paint.

I saw what I saw...until there is something to relieve that I don't have anything else to go by. I want this to work the same way it will with madden. I guess we will know on Friday.

All that means is they saw the negative response to the video and took it down for that reason. Doesn't mean the video is not representative of the current state of the game, even though that is a possibility.

I fail to see however how it makes the video meaningless just because they pulled it.

I actually think the Madden 11 dual stick video looks awful too. The animations are still too sudden and abrupt, but at the same time the runner looks like he goes right back to the speed he had right before the spin/juke etc.

I don't like it at all, but I didn't expect much from NCAA or Madden. Momentum is still not properly represented.

It's April. Way too early for me to overreact and start screaming that EA has pooped an epic fail. I'll wait to see more. If this was a Backbreaker vid the thread would be all cumbayas and give hope a chance. One vid, purported to be old footage, isn't enough to kneecap my enthusiasm over gameplay changes, presentation, etc. We'll see what's what as it gets closer to launch.

Well certainly just buying the game and being cool with it not being what the community wants isn't going to change anything. I've said it over and over again. I love College Football, that's why i'm so passionate about these kind of posts. I'm not a "fair-weather" fan, but I just want to have my game back. I'm not going to sit by and just let it go if I don't like it, because my views seem to coincide with 80% of the readers of these forums.

With all that being said, 98% of us agree, that this isn't really what we've been looking for since "next-gen" took over. Ill play it because I love the game, I try to find ways around the short-comings. But I will not just let things be, we all want progress.

not blown away. I was really looking for some better running animations and I still saw some ice skating effects. Just not sure what its gonna take to get this stuff fixed. I mean isnt it time to step it up. Im still buying it and im pumped for some college football but im not totally sold yet. I was really hoping to see this game separate itself like MLB the show has done to sports games. Just not really seeing that yet

I think I bought this game 2 years ago. It was called NCAA 09. Man I hope backbreaker is good so I can stop hoping for something improved or different from EA every year.

And why should we all of a sudden not think that? It has been that way since we started "next-gen" and the only video released has shown it again. Why should I be optimistic, even if it is a replay?

That video looked worse than 10, and you know good and well the **** aint about to regress. It might not improve the way some folks want it to, but it most definitely is going to be better than 10. Thats a given. Each iteration is ahead of the last.

That vid looked like it was moving at 2 frames per second or something. If you enjoy football titles, if ya ask me, you have no choice but to WANT the game to better.

Hell, I can't stand the player movement of the current iteration myself, but the game still aint half bad. Still enjoy it immensely. You already know the madden engine for 2010 is going to be the NCAA for 2011 with refinement, so if you enjoyed Madden 10, trust me you'll like NCAA11.

Point of all of this being. That video was ****ty but like I say, if you have an ounce of sense, you know that **** ain't no where near final.

So if you're going to buy, thats cool. If not, too bad so sad for ya, lol. I'm all over NCAA, Madden, and Backbreaker this year. Bunch of fairweather fans if I ever seen some, lol.
And this is the mentality that enables EA to only marginal improve the game each year. The NCAA dev team isn't my favorite sports team, I don't owe them any kind of loyalty. This isn't a charity, either make a quality product that shows more than marginal improvement each year or I will take my $60 elsewhere. It is that simple.

On top of that, I enjoyed Madden 10, so I know NCAA 11 is going to be decent enough for me to play it. They always get the remnants of the previous Madden engine with refinement.
Marginally yes, but I don't see how anybody could argue the improvement has been as much as it should be. Not to mention the bar set by previous iterations on next gen haven't been that high.

I don't think simply any kind improvement should be the measure because improvement could simply mean going from a bad game to mediocre game. The bar just like anything in life should be how good is this game in relation to other games and particularly to the best which would be something like The Show. Can anybody reasonable argue this game is anywhere close to a game like The Show in terms of replicating the sport or in terms of overall quality? And yes I realize they are two different sports but the standard in terms of quality should still be similar.

The bottom line to me is this series is still nowhere where it should be regardless of showing marginal improvement each year.

I just can't justify buying the game again this year if it turns out to be mediocre regardless of how much I love college football. Not like there isn't another football option out there this year.

"Sense"? If it don't make dollars, then it don't make cents.

Buy used. Your money is the only "input from the community" that's understood. Every new copy sold is a pat on their back.

I'm HAPPY to pay TOP dollar for a QUALITY product.

Until then, I'm at Gamestop waiting to purchase your traded in disappointment.

and in past years all the official videos posted got such great responses? if it was really meant to be released not only would they not of pulled it no matter what, but it'd also be on the official website which it never was.

Fairweather fans? How does that even apply to a game with no competition? We have no other choice. I think what you're looking for is "getting our hopes up".

Lets just hope that thats not the final product because that just straight sucked. EA has no excuse for they're constant disappointment they dish out to College Football fans. They have the money and I know they have the technology, but it seems that their just stretching out some old outdated engine until they decide to put up the money to develop or aquire a new one.

If this locomotion is a new engine then why does it look exactly like the old one. This is the same robotic and choppy engine that they have forced on us for the last 5 years. !@#%!@#$@! this better not be real gameplay!!!
