To anyone who has pre-ordered at a Gamestop store (not Online), did you get the code already or will it come inside the game's box like with most of the games that have pre-order bonuses.

For this game, I am just guessing that when you install the game, then go and use your code, it will download a similar small-sized program which will unlock the stadiums from the disc and save them to the install file. No need to ever be connected to the internet after that in order to use the stadiums.

One thing I do want to comment on, only because it makes me feel old, are the comments about how people hate games where things are locked and you have to actually play to game to unlock them. Kind of makes me cry realizing that people today have become buy and return gamers. Buy the game, beat it as fast as you can, then trade it in to get another game. Back when I first got into gaming, spending time to play the game, enjoy it, unlock things, enjoy those, and explore every last bit of that game was the fun of it. It was the days before the internet where the only information you got about a game was a few brief words about it in GamePro, or EGM, or Nintendo Power. Nowadays, before the game even comes out, there are full walkthroughs all over the internet with all secrets unlocked. I actually enjoy it when developers lock things in the game and force you to actually play it in order for you to unlock them. It gives me motivation to play the game and keep playing it for a long time.

I am going to pre-order The Show anyway, but I might go and try to get the the stadiums unlocked by getting all the trophies first. I guess the only trophies I don't really like in the games are the online ones that force you to play online. I don't like playing online since the vast, vast majority of online gamers are horrifically immature and just grate my nerves. I know that a lot of the people here don't fit that category, but you guys are the minority out there.
Holy Cow!!! I know exactly what you're talking about - which made me realize how old I really am.

They said it would work like ME2. If you pre-ordered, you'll get a card with the code on it when you pick up your copy. That's what my store's guy told me anyway.

You picking it up or did you go with release day delivery?

Quick question though.. will Amazon then email the code on release day?

According to Amazon, the code will be released within ten business days of the game's release.

Hopefully the code is e-mailed on release day or soon thereafter.

I am planning on pre-ordering from Best Buy, but my local stores do not know about the codes and online doesn't say anything about this offer.

How do I get the codes?

Has anyone pre-ordered from Best Buy and did you get any sort of confirmation from them concerning this offer?

Thanks

# 234 Rickeysue @ 02/02/10 09:50 PM
I just wasted an hour of my life reading through these inane complaint-filled posts. If you want the codes, just pre-order the game. The only people who continue to complain about this probably still live in their parent's basement.

I pre-ordered mine but made sure my Gamespot was familiar with the DLC before putting my money down. They said they will give me the card when I pick it up.

Best Buy will have a game case on the shelf for this game to pre-order with.

You bring the case up to the counter, pay $5 for it (preorders the game), and it will have the card inside.

Thanks for the reply.

I pre-ordered online with in-store pick-up, but I didn't see anything about the offer. I have a feeling I will have to chase down the codes after release day.

I pre-ordered from Best Buy online as well with in store pick up. I had a $10 off reward plus $26 credit on my credit card so made it the cheapest Show purchase I could've hoped for. We'll see about the DLC code and how they handle it since I pre-ordered online.
