Just pre-ordered from BestBuy.com with store pickup. Has some money in the old Paypal account and saw they accept it. Come on March 2nd!

How does BestBuy handle the codes if you preorder online for in-store pickup? Do they email it to you or are you supposed to get it when you pick up the game?

I'm not necessarily trying to defend SCEA on this, but people complain about having to unlock stadiums and such.. well if you look at what is considered the "crown jewel" is baseball games (MVP 2005) you'll remember it not only had unlockable stadiums but uniforms, teams and players. Even then they were not given to you "right out of the box".

Now.. this doesn't mean I like this tactic by any means as I, too, wish these were all playable right out of the box. But the fact is.. this is no new practice.

AND if you pre-order (which most of us who are dedicated enough to this game to post in these forums are).. you get them FREE

Great, we have guys insulting the one game developer that has been by far the most forthcoming and interactive with the community. The only "inconvenience" is that I'll have to move my PS3 temporarily into the bedroom so I can access the internet. Whoopty-doo. Thanks from myself for offering these stadiums. My toughest decision will be whether to use Shibe or Crosley.

Curiosity question...Once we download the stadiums, we don't have to cotinuously be connected to the internet to use them right? Won't they be married to our PS3? My internet is on the other side of my house and I am definitely capable of having a long cord hooked up at ALL times, but just curious. Thanks

The thing you gotta understand is #1: SCEA don't give a G-D darn about ANYBODY except "dead presidents". That goes for Russel too. #2 The remark Russel made about the marketing of the stadiums is simply ABSURD and actually quite INSULTING. This is not the 1920's when people were gullable and naive. We can read right between the lines when statements like that are uttered. Statements like that are reserved for the Clintons and Bush's and Obama's of this world. Let us not get into word games. Fact of the matter is, the game ain't very different from year to year, so maybe adding the stadiums FOR FREE might actually be the honest thing to do. I don't have to go into that any further. Either you get it or you don't ( or pretend like you don't / have an agenda). Please do not take these words personally, they are just my point of view, and I like to believe that we are all encouraged to express our points of view. Peace to ALL

Thanks in advance.

Fortyfive, you seriously need to shut your mouth. It's very simple, pre-order the game, get the stadiums.

Furthermore, you don't even know what you are talking about in regards to Russell. The people of this forum have a business-like relationship with him. We give our input and the people at SCEA try to give us a product that satisfies us. We have such a great deal of respect for him and the other SCEA guys for listening to us. I hope a debbie-downer like you doesn't drive them away. Basically all you are saying is that Russell is a bad person since he has a job to do, which doesn't make any sense.

I will remind you once to make sure you don't overstep the TOS line by insulting the devs because you're about to fall off of that cliff and lose some posting priveledges.

# 193 jethrotull @ 01/29/10 12:37 PM
I know some of you have tried answering this, but if Russell could chime in on "Are more stadiums are in the works for this year as DLC?", it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if I can ask a question directly to Russell or not. Not great with computers.

I can however say that the people who attack Knight and Russell are complete fools who probably don't have much going on in life if they want to get upset over pre-ordering a game. A game.

Knight I appreciate the roster work you do all year, much respect.

At this point...I will also apologize and refrain from directly posting at anyone in particular in this thread.
I lost it a little.

I completely disagree with fortyfive...but to ban him or his curtail his posting privileges???
He certainly can....but to direct an insult(which he did really) at Russ was against T.O.S.
I still say it's uncalled for...especially with all that Russ does.
You can still have your opinion...but to make these boards uncomfortable for anyone directly.....is not a good atmosphere....to guard against that is not "communist"...but rather good sense.

Knight saw that you were on wanted to shoot this quick question. In franchise were retired numbers still unavailable for use?
