Ugh, minor letdown. I too hold out hope for the day of custom leagues and full editing.

Thanks Knight for trying to get SCEA to let us have control of Jersey numbers.

If I'm not mistaken didn't 2K9 allow us to use any number except 42?
We have names we have faces we need numbers for it to come together.

A possible work-around is to offer a "number tool" with font, color and number. Let us create any jersey number.

Just want to say there must be a way...

WOW.

Guys, I think there needs to a be a little more class displayed here. Take a deep breath. It will all be ok.

With that said, carry on...

I think I have a better way to get any number we want:
Just give us a Eye Toy option for the back of any jersey.

If you don't want your rendition of Mickey Mantle with number 13 in his back just go on the INTERNET and copy his number 7 with the eye-toy...PLEASE SCEA think about adding this in 2011...

No lawyer involvement

LOL, I didn't know you had to be rich to get something for free.

As far as the question about having to be continously hooked up to the internet to use the stadiums...I have no idea. Could someone please shed some light on that, if possible?

The stadiums will be downloaded to your hard drive and you should not need to be online to use them.

Once they're unlocked via the code wouldn't it be tied to your profile? I don't know, I'm asking, but I'm about positive you wouldn't have to be continuously connected.

The stadiums are already on the disc. The file yo will DL is an unlock key, probably no bigger than 1-200KB in size. once it is DL'ed you don't need to be hooked up to the net to keep using them.

Correct.

Your profile keeps track of that, im not exactly an expert on PS3 DLC as xbox360 DLC but it should work fine. Also Ladies and Gentleman lets not forget this is a business in the end, whether you think SCEA is ripping us off or not (I do not, to get DLC and all you have to do is preorder, is it really that big a deal ?) The ? is, do they produce a superior product ? Do they try to improve the product? Do they support the product ? Do they ask for community input in the product ? Umm yeah, so if they want to entice you to preorder the product whats the big ? Look at all the gaming companies now, they all do it. To even single Russell out, who has a genuine bond with the community, just not right. Ok off the soapbox. is it March 2nd yet ?

Does anyone no where to pre order this in Australia. I don't have a US PSN account so the only way to get the classic stadiums is from pre ordering.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet but The Show is now on Amazon for 56.99 with FREE RELEASE DAY SHIPPING for Prime members at least. In for one!

Just ordered mine today, it was around $68 for me with tax and release day shipping. I'm not a prime member.

After reading the last few pages all I can think of is the following line from Field of Dreams "If you build it, they will come".

Glad to see the apology Knight. I'm one of the ones who thought the fact sheet was misleading, and to be called a whiny B for saying that isn't right. Nice to see you realized that came off unnecessarily harsh

I completely disagree with anyone calling Russell a talking head though. I really appreciate the information he and the other developers give us, and I love seeing the input OS gives taken seriously. I think fortyfive went overboard on his statements, but there are times when any type of criticism about The Show is jumped on by other members. I feel like I should be able to disagree without being jumped on as long as I stay respectful, and I haven't felt that in this thread. Several people have stated that they felt the fact sheet was misleading, so I think it's important for SCEA to hear that, if for no other reason than so they are aware and can make sure the confusion doesn't happen next year as well.

I'll co-sign this. I believe I remained respectful while trying to express my opinion.

Yep I just did the same. I signed up for a free trial of Amazon Prime a few days ago so I could get my books for college in quicker, and was looking for a way to get the most out of the trial. Debating whether or not to pre-order the show and get the stadiums or get the game earlier at my spot and miss out. The prime membership plus $5 off on amazon pushed me to make that choice.

Just pre-ordered the game on Amazon.

Now anxiously counting down the days until March 2.

"within 10 business days after the game releases."

Oh c'mon!

Just pre-ordered online from Bestbuy. Didn't see anything about a code to unlock the classic stadiums. Anyone who pre-ordered from Bestbuy found out for sure how they will handle the codes?
