2K Sports just posted details NBA 2K10 patch #2. Plenty of fixes are in store.

"The patch is in the submissions stage. I am sure the holidays not help clear the queue in front of us but know that the patch is submitted and it should be a matter of a couple weeks. The PC patch is still in creation but will be a combination of this and the first patch."

it says that the patch will make the cpu trade players when controling all 30 teams with a "cpu managed trade task" turned on...

so does this mean that they will also now sign, waive, demote & call-up players also? they do not do this either!

Toned down pass accuracy out of double teams? Oh god...

It's bad enough that 50% of players online are constantly doubling, since as soon as a player is doubled in 2k basketball they go from NBA player to 8 year old house league player that the coach only plays because everyone gets their turn. It takes damn near 3 seconds to pass out of a double and they already blow 5 foot passes all the time. I wouldn't mind this if they made passing out of a double much faster, but I've been asking for that for 3 years and it hasn't happened so I won't hold my breath.

I'm all for toning down the accuracy out of shots and for full court lobs, but this wasn't necessary.

we'll see when the patch drops. Team up has never worked in a year and a half. They've had all this time to optimize the code.

Let's not "jump the pile" please. Let's just move on.

I totally agree.

Just making sure... this will be applied to my already on-going association, correct?

It will never happen of course, but I think all sports developers should make two separate versions of their games, one for online play and one for offline play.

There is essentially a Continental Divide between online players players and offline players in terms of what is wanted from these games and how best to solve various issues. Trying to find a middle ground doesn't work, it leaves everyone unhappy, especially online players because they have the least control over various aspects of the game.

You're right, it would be totally impractical to have to put out two separate games. How about three (My Player)? I think it's a matter of gamers needing to have more realistic expectations. It's not just limited to online/offline play. I've seen people trash a game just because the one piece they're interested in isn't to their standards. Somewhere along the line a lot of gamers stopped judging the games as a complete product and became more concerned with the one feature they find important.

^^
this. i don't play online really but i have, and people need to realize that ore than half of the time, the reason for the lag is b/c of internet connections, lack of proper firewall, port, and router settings and so on. what if their NAT isn't open? good luck trying to connect or complete a game. yeah, their servers could be better, but not always. everyone needs to do themselves a favor and make sure their settings are the best they can be.

nice signature by the way. i agree about the wire. i watched every episode in a 1 month span since i couldn't stop.

maybe game-play wise. but again, i agree with spank. one reason i don't play ranked games is b/c you can't use custom sliders. if you choose to play these games on the default sliders (level playing field), you should at least expect some things like this. maybe not the specific example of passing out of a double but things that are affected by slider adjustments. you get the idea.

QFT...I would have liked to see more said about passing in general especially the lead pass. Double Teams weren't much of a problem. We could see a spike in double teams online.

Will we be able to use legends in season or association mode?

no mention of fixing crew games at all really

another year of failure for 2k.
If you would have read it clearly (or atleast past the first page) it says that crew games and team up games are the same. Meaning, they mentioned fixes for team up games but not much for crew games, but the fixes in team up will fix the issues for crew games since they work the same.

It's 2K's fault online play is broke, not us. NHL 10 online team play works pretty much flawlessly. I played regularly with 6-10 guys. No connection errors there.

guess they didn't fix the crowd that was working right when the game came out, but got screwed up when the patches came out. The crowd stops cheering and gets silent at times they should be really loud

I would delete my settings....or all game related saves. Might have a corrupted file in there. I had the same problem a while back. But haven't seen it since.
