2K Sports just posted details NBA 2K10 patch #2. Plenty of fixes are in store.

"The patch is in the submissions stage. I am sure the holidays not help clear the queue in front of us but know that the patch is submitted and it should be a matter of a couple weeks. The PC patch is still in creation but will be a combination of this and the first patch."

Really? Other people as have had this issue as well...do you think it's a widespread thing?

I don't know if its widespread. I wish I could answer that...But I know when I had the same problem. I deleted everything. And haven't seen that problem since.

i haven't even really tried so i won't say whose it really is and isn't but in terms of actually connecting to a game, it could be both but yeah, i definitely know 2k has dropped the ball on finding and getting into good games but in game lag can definitely be a combo. of both 2k and the people playing.

all i'm saying is make sure your settings are good and if so and there are still problems, definitely bring it to 2k

I didn't like the first patch for one BIG reason. The player's collision. The inside game is a joke with the new animations incorporated after the first patch. OH, and online, the game is unplayable. Last year was bad only with cheasers, but this year is just bad...if you are lucky to get connected.

The inside game is not broke...I like the new collision animations..its just that you have to actually use post moves now to actually avoid the contacts rather than having automatic shots all the time....

My complaint is the broken turbo button...maybe its just me but whenever I press turbo the player doesn't run in the turbo animation.....

To add on to the collision discussion, I was struggling with it as well post-patch but in my case it was largely user error. It seemed everytime I performed a drop step, spin, or any other post move, my player would go into that "contact" shot animation. Finally, I realized pulling the right trigger away from the basket initiated a jump hook (or a shot away from contact). I don't know how I didn't know that before. I think jump hooks used to be right stick toward the basket in previous 2K's.

Anyhow, that random tidbit cut down my "contact" problems by 99%. The only problem that remains comes when I try to pull up for a jumper just inside the free throw line and get sucked into that contact thing.

I applaud you for figuring this out.

Too many times I've read individuals posting this here as a complaint when it was user error. I get tired of telling people stuff like that, and it's really on 2k to provide a better manual so these complaints aren't an issue in the first place.

But it's great to see people trying stuff out and figuring it out instead of coming here and whining on a message board.

2K needs to throw a little money Czar's way and have him do some video tutorials they can have in-game for 2K11. Would be a great help.

PS3 version to drop "sometime Monday" per Sony, according to Ronnie2K's Twitter.

No word yet on the 360 version.
