NBA 2K10 Q&A: Retail Copy in Hand

I and a few others were lucky enough to attend the NBA 2K10 launch party here in NYC.

We were given full copies of the game and are willing to answer questions.

The only thing I'm going to tell you guys right now:

NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RATINGS. We already post them in the NBA 2K10 screenshots section.

How are the shooting percentages on say All-star User vs CPU for a full match? And how many minutes you think you have to play for realistic scores?

Yes, the Cavs are wearing red headbands at home. Nothing you can do about it now unless it's somehow patched.

Anyway, don't want this to turn in a bickering accessories thread. They're wearing red headbands at home, it's been established, lets move on.

They can be stripped more easily and they will also lose the ball (at least I experienced that when I played the game a bit back).

I'm really not liking the auto-post up. Same exact thing as in live. Sigh.

The Knicks are just CHUCKING. David Lee has yet to get involved in the offense.

They completely removed the Icon passing+RT = first man up the court on the break combo. I hate that. Makes fastbreaks more difficult to run.

I felt like it was hit and miss. I was more positive about it when I played because I like how it opens up the controls in the post -- really feel it makes a difference.

hey ray im dissapointed too...its like 2k loves to mess wit us...they do everything right and take somethin away to keep it from being perfect...i hated playing at home nba 2k7 with the cavs cause of the headbands and now looks like im gonna hate it again even more cause you know they bout to be nasty at home again this year...MAN this is frustrating...

In last year's game when double-teaming, I found myself stuck to the guy only to find myself in a situation that always left another player open for the jumper. As a defender, can you setup the double team and then break out of it or are you just stuck-like-chuck hoping the cpu will rotate accordingly?

Ha, I think I'll be able to snag one either way, but I should have told one of the OSers to get me one tonight, blast.

BTW, bless your heart for posting the DHo picture, I took a ton of crap for saying I thought DHo looked better in 2K. Now at least everyone else can judge for themselves.

Orlando just busted out a 3-2 zone on me after Mo and Delonte combined for 13 points in 2 mins. Not sure if it was legit or just a coincidence, either way still nice to see.

have you seen any signs of animations that suck the defender in that could be abusable (ex. hesitation step back, behind the back riding animation)
also are the animations i mentioned toned down?

this is what ruined 2k9 for me

pleasee tell me they've been toned down

Wow, this is great stuff guys.

Slightly disappointed with the Cavs wearing red headbands at home but hopefully that'll be patched when the game comes out.

Quick question from me, can you edit what shoes the players wear?? I just don't wanna be staring at those generics all day!
