Ok, I dont know if this has been posted or not, but am I the only one that notices the slight hiccup on long running plays, and plays that go over 45 yds?

Its like EA's way of fixing pursuit, the game literally freezes for like a millisecond during the run, each time. I looked at it in replay and to my behold, the game literally freezes each step the runner takes, imo, this looks terrible.
Yes, I've noticed this too. Every time I get away with Hester or Chris Johnson in my Bears Franchise the game hiccups just like you said. I think it might be a result of the ratings hit that is occurring with fatigue. As the player runs farther he becomes more tired and his speed is taking a ratings hit and this in turn causes this weird hiccuping. I turned down the fatigue to 30 and it seemed to help. Anyone else notice this?

Also, I've found kick returns for TDs to be way easier. Prior to the patch I was only returning kicks for a TD once every eight games. Last game I took a personal record of four back against the Lions with Hester. I am playing on All-Madden but have the speed threshold at 0.

With the releAse of this patch, will I...
Be able to fire this game up and start a franchise on all-pro difficulty, without having to F' around with all the sliders! Better yet, is anybody playing w/o sliders and getting any enjoyment & realistic games?

Working so I haven't seen the patch yet but didn't they say they really tuned fatigue. Isn't that limp run something that occurs when someone is gassed?

Are you holding sprint the whole way? Is the player already tired?

Like I said I don't have the patch yet so maybe this is an issue but just trying to think of something logical.

Don't know how t embed, sorry, but trust me, it's worth the trip to youtube!

PS, I've also noticed that weird running limp effect on long plays.

I've seen the ball go right through a recievers torso before pre-patch, it was also with the jets, with the same reciever, lol, weird. Although mines was just an incompletion in the endzone.

-About 11 guys with a 100+ rating
-7, maybe 8 guys who have thrown 4 INTs
-kerry Collins has 9 TDs though the rest aren't too bad so maybe this is just a fluke
-4 or 5 guys right now on pace to break the rushing record
-Still too many guys on pace for 16+ defensive sacks
-5 guys that have a punt return average of 20+
-The raiders have 19 team defensive sacks through the 3 games and a few teams close to them

Hopefully this changes in time but I am guessing it won't.
The franchise stat issues are being fixed for patch 2. Josh Looman has sorted out most of them, but has been unable to fix the average ypc of backup RBs and the fact that too many sacks are occuring in the first place. Rushing TD's and OLB sacks have been fixed apparantly though. He posted all this on another thread.

Anyway you need to do more than 3 games though before judging. There are always statistical anomolies at the start of any season in real life.

It was the first play of the first drive of my game, I run a HB Blast with Jamal Lewis, he breaks a pile of tackles and runs it to the endzone, once he hit the 40 yd mark going into the redzone, the hiccup animation begins. I looked at the replay, and the whole game, defenders and all, including the runner, freezes for about .05 of a second on each step. Right after that, I kicked the ball off to the bears and Devin Hester ran it back for a TD and the same thing happenend. It looks like a limp, or like a kink in the runner, but after watching the replay after noticing it during the game, its literally a freeze.

Does this mean my WRs won't get jammed for 5 seconds on every play when the computer does press coverage?
NO. They do still get jammed sometimes. But not all the time. It seems like the press coverage vs release has more effect now. WR's on the left do release to the outside. I haven't seen WR's on the right release inside though. But that was with limited play time.

Not really. They are covered better, but you can still manipulate the CB.

I am seein the same thing right now i got the browns in franchise mode and when Lewis runs the ball it looks like a frame hiccup or he is skipping/limping granted if it were Jeff Garcia i could understand. I broke one, it went to the chase cam for a second. All of a sudden there were 3 broncos all over me

I thought the improvements to the gameplay with help with the robo qb, just the opposite. Robo qb has gotten worse, it seems that the pass protection has alsp improved the pocket develops better for both the cpu and player. But unfortunately, the better pass protecting makes it even harder to sack the qb

Made fatigue effect ratings more
What does this mean? For the record, I hate how fatigue subs out Reggie Wayne or subs WR's for cornerbacks.

# 236 TCrouch @ 09/24/09 05:04 PM
It used to make them tired, then take them out of the game.

Now, as they get tired, they also get slower/weaker, etc.

So leaving guys in there who are wrecked and tired *should* (in theory) have them perform horribly.

This means long, sustained 15 or 18 play drives should see DT's getting blown off the ball, etc.

Any body know what difficulty or sliders are best? I had been using my skill but got tired of all the fumbles with my runn slider all the way up to 20(0 on fumbles). So I used custom sliders. Anyway, I don't like messing around with sliders too much, just simple fixes. Now with the patch...

I thought fresher players already played better for some reason. When I sub in a fresh RB I felt I got more of a push before the patch.

Did the patch address autosub logic I wonder? One thing that annoys me is being on defense for a long drive and getting a pick6. I then kickoff again(note defensive starters are on KO's too) and when I go to play defense again after a defensive TD I get WR's playing CB because of fatigue.

I play in a week to week league where we take out injured players for that week, with fatigue though they get subbed back in. It would be nice if Madden extended roster space and let players choose their inactives for games, but that may be asking too much.

Ok so let me get this right? They fixed HB/FB routes to be slow and sloppy! So I run 2 running plays in a row for decent gains then run play action on 3rd down where my FB is going into the flat and he just stands there!!?? That's stupid, come on EA really? You can delete patches right? All I really need is pass rush to work right especially in a 3-4. I mean D.Ware with 4 sacks all year! I'm fed up. end of rant.

I've had Megatron release to the inside, and i've also had him cause the CB to miss the press completely once or twice.
