With the releAse of this patch, will I...
Be able to fire this game up and start a franchise on all-pro difficulty, without having to F' around with all the sliders! Better yet, is anybody playing w/o sliders and getting any enjoyment & realistic games?

Working so I haven't seen the patch yet but didn't they say they really tuned fatigue. Isn't that limp run something that occurs when someone is gassed?

Are you holding sprint the whole way? Is the player already tired?

Like I said I don't have the patch yet so maybe this is an issue but just trying to think of something logical.

It would seem that, on the 360 at least, nothing gameplay wise has been included at all. A mistake perhaps? I see no difference. I got the AFL options etc but am seeing nothing different in game.

Edit: Apart from the limping run thing like I said earlier. No sideline catches here though.

Don't know how t embed, sorry, but trust me, it's worth the trip to youtube!

PS, I've also noticed that weird running limp effect on long plays.

I've seen the ball go right through a recievers torso before pre-patch, it was also with the jets, with the same reciever, lol, weird. Although mines was just an incompletion in the endzone.

-kerry Collins has 9 TDs though the rest aren't too bad so maybe this is just a fluke
-4 or 5 guys right now on pace to break the rushing record
-Still too many guys on pace for 16+ defensive sacks
-5 guys that have a punt return average of 20+
-The raiders have 19 team defensive sacks through the 3 games and a few teams close to them

Hopefully this changes in time but I am guessing it won't.
The franchise stat issues are being fixed for patch 2. Josh Looman has sorted out most of them, but has been unable to fix the average ypc of backup RBs and the fact that too many sacks are occuring in the first place. Rushing TD's and OLB sacks have been fixed apparantly though. He posted all this on another thread.

Anyway you need to do more than 3 games though before judging. There are always statistical anomolies at the start of any season in real life.

It was the first play of the first drive of my game, I run a HB Blast with Jamal Lewis, he breaks a pile of tackles and runs it to the endzone, once he hit the 40 yd mark going into the redzone, the hiccup animation begins. I looked at the replay, and the whole game, defenders and all, including the runner, freezes for about .05 of a second on each step. Right after that, I kicked the ball off to the bears and Devin Hester ran it back for a TD and the same thing happenend. It looks like a limp, or like a kink in the runner, but after watching the replay after noticing it during the game, its literally a freeze.

Good job guys, way to make the cut scenes even more annoying.

I also noticed some funky movement with guys and on one play the cpu did a screen pass and my OLB in position to make a tackle in the open field ran the other way to get engaged in a block with an OL. I have never seen that before and if it happens agian I will know for sure it is the patch that caused this.

Nice to not have the holding on kicks though.

Interesting that it says man coverage has been improved yet my guys were worse at this. Well, maybe they weren't but they allowed some ridiculous and unlikely passes to be completed. Seems it may be a case where they improved coverage but feel that there needs to be a specific amount of catches so you'll get crazy catches now.

We'll see how things go when I start the next season of my chise. So far it seems to play slightly better.

Oh and I don't know if this is from the patch but I was playing the Broncos and they didn't have a single run play in the 1st half and only had 4 in the game. Have never seen a team run that little vs me...will need to play more to see if it was an anomaly or an issue.
Nah, this was in the game before. Ive seen plenty of plays where a defender has been in position to make a tackle and then just turns around and runs to a blocker. I was shocked the first time I saw it and would have youtubed it if I had a camcorder. One time I was playing this guy online and we were in overtime and he ran it in for a td and it was one of those plays where you just knew something sketchy happened. I looked at the replay after the game and one of my defenders who had a clear shot to at least go for a tackle just stopped and turned around and ran towards a blocker. I just sat there and shook my head in disgust. I almost went out and bought a camcorder just to tape that.
