NBA Live 10 News Post

EA has posted another NBA Live 10 blog. This one covers, shooting the rock. Screenshots and 10 minute gameplay video included.

"Hi again Live fans. Well, this is the last gameplay blog you guys will see before the NBA Live 10 demo hits PSN and XBL next week. I’m really looking forward to seeing all your homemade videos and reading your feedback. Keep in mind that the demo isn’t final code, so it’s really just a taste of what you’ll see in the full game. Take my word for it, one of the real strengths of Live this year is playing with and against all the different players and teams, which unfortunately, you won’t be able to do in the demo. But I’ll let Novell speak in more detail on just how deep the AI upgrade was this year and how we took player/team differentiation to the next level with Dynamic DNA. I know you sim-heads out there are gonna love it, so expect that blog in the near future.

But with the demo coming soon, we thought it would be good to give you one more tutorial to help you hit the ground running with some of the new gameplay mechanics. And today we’ll talk about everybody’s favorite subject: shooting the basketball."

Its amazing what happens when two people actually try and look at a situation from another person's POV. And actually listen to what they have to say.

Wish more people would do that instead of always selectively listening/reading another person opinion.

Would make communicating a whole lot easier.

I don't know how some of you guys going to have time for FIFA or The Show or any other sports game. If you throw in NCAA Basketball, there already isn't going to be enough time for hoops as it is.

Disclaimer: I understand there are items in the gameplay video that differentiate this video game from real life.

I, however, find that the significant advances that seem to present themselves in this video far outweigh any perceived "imperfections".

Follow is simply an expression of the pure joy I felt when watching this video for the first time, and is in no way a factual statement claiming this game to be perfect.

End disclaimer.

Wow. I am sold. Call me a fanboy. My jaw hit the floor.

"Gold! Jerry! Gold!!!"

"Game over man, game over."

They just hit it out of the park.

Um... yeah, I like it. I like it a lot. Word's can't express... Awesome, just awesome.

Try what I do, I play 1 game each for each game per day. (The Show, NBA 2k9, Madden 09) Thank god I'm not into hockey, soccer, NCAA sports that much otherwise I'll be playing all day.. hahaha!

(To GSW)

Gaming takes commitment, you just have to shut out family and any other forms of social engagement.

The pull of your loved ones and the inherent sense of responsibility is very strong. You'll feel guilt and shame.

But if you can get past these things you will find the time to enjoy all those games to the fullest.

There may be other consequences I haven't thought of though...

Yeah he had none. That was sad... posted on OS although it was some years back.. dude finally broke down and told his entire story...

In all seriousness though, this is a great year for basketball fans and I hope we are all overwhelmed because we havent had that feeling yet

Yeah that basketball fever should kick in once the Live demo drops. All the nitpickers are going to be in full force.

Thank goodness I won't have to bear through it as much because I'll be able to just play the game instead.

No more having to sift through pages of complaints once the demo drops.

My strategy actually will be getting NBA live first (maybe 2k10, too) and just concentrate on Basketball. The good thing is that due to time difference League Pass doesn't matter before 1am (except sundays) so I have plenty of time at nights . However I probably won't buy FIFA or NHL before I really need a change

All frivolity aside... Man, that is sad. Hope he managed to pick himself up.

Game's are a great recreation/hobby/past time, but that's all it is. Getting excited about games and discussing them is a valid component of enjoying your chosen hobby.

But at the end of all things I'm not gonna be looking back on the golden years of Live 10 or 2K7 or whatever...

I'll remember teaching my daughter how to do a cross-over...
I'll remember the first time she completely broke my ankles...
I'll remember the first time she scored in a basketball game...

Games are great but they just can't compare with going out and actually living life.

(Sorry for all the deep and meaningful drivel, yesterday was Father's Day here in Australia so I'm in that kind of mood. No more, I promise...)

Back on topic... Live 10 definitely looks the goods

# 359 23 @ 09/06/09 11:33 PM
LOL no I hear you man... you hear about some dudes who die from not sleeping and playing games...

That said Basketball games will get alot of burn from me probably moreso than in the past and thats a good thing
