NBA 2K10 News Post

NBA 2K9 led the league in sales and critical acclaim last season while battling against inferior opponents, and has in general been leaps and bounds ahead of the competition for years now. In other words, it's tough being the king. But with the competition finally showing signs of life, NBA 2K10 is now looking to show that it has the goods to hold onto the crown.

Specifically when they said pre game introduction they called out the player names from the starting lineups and this is for all teams right, because they only mention the celtics? reply back anyone

I thought that 2k said that player age would also be a factor in a player's progression/regression? This however stated that it would only be based on performance and playing time. Is that right?

When it comes to your 'My Player' it is only based on those two aspects. When it comes to Association mode, age will play a role for the real players.

From what Chase was told, there were still working on things like that, specifically the Help D. I'm sure we'll see varied defenses and guards dropping down to double, weak side doubles, sagging, recovery issues...

I think this is the year they realize they NEED to have it in the game since it was done so well in Live.

I haven't owned a sports basketball game since bull vs blazers and tecmo basketball. I played the demo's from last year, and I favored the live version over 2k. With that said, I think the my player combine is genious from a gaming and marketing standpoint. I may go with 2k solely because of my player.

This isn't the place for this, man... I don't really know what the place for this is actually.

I hope the slower gamespeed isnt just cosmetically masking a lack of foot planting.

Being punished for abusing turbo though, Is a definite welcomed improvement.

I like the new idea of new gamespeed, makes it more real and I also like the turbo improvements.

I don't think it's make or break (at least IMO) since the off-ball movement is already amazing. However, to call a game "perfect" or somewhat close to it... can't happen. This is the NBA and there aren't real NBA plays per team as of now and the execution is just stagnant.

Quite honestly, if it weren't for the fact your teammates are smart and you can run an offense easily with all the other controls, the game would probably be difficult to replicate an NBA team.
