NBA 2K10 News Post

NBA 2K9 led the league in sales and critical acclaim last season while battling against inferior opponents, and has in general been leaps and bounds ahead of the competition for years now. Meaning team prerituals, I bet dollars to donuts there is no starting lineups this year, in fact in somebody's preview they stated that the starting lineups come during the loading screen, so by the time you are brought to the arena it's over with, and they just go over the matchups of the game, then the tip.

I mentioned Pierce and Garnett screaming on the jumbotron as one of the stadium intros. Those are different from the pregame rituals if I'm not mistaken.

2K has confirmed that we can play with the D-League teams in our Association, right? Just trying to make sure they did confirm that.

Great preview. By the way, if you want to see the kick balls (I think that's what they mean), watch this video of Draft Combine - at 5:32. A bit hard to see the ball hit the foot, but you can see the ref signaling for it...

Great article Rich .. Nice to see 2K continue to evolve on gameplay and address online issues and not stand pat. Looking forward to picking it up in October

No, there's still many questions, such as how detailed the playsets are. I think you of all people would agree that we would need a better playcalling system.

Inbounds plays, authentic NBA sets, multiple options, etc.

Yes, yes, yes. It may not be as versatile as Live's in terms of variations, but it needs to work better than 2k9's. Its about time they gave the teams different default playbooks, I want to know how different they really are.

"There are also signature introductions for just about every NBA team in the game. "

I wonder if they have the lakers curtain show where they project scenes on the curtain hanging from the scoreboard...Anyone know what they do for MSG?

# 80 Pared @ 08/28/09 01:06 PM
Yeah, they call out the players' names and then fans cheer for the other team.
