NCAA Football 10 News Post

Pasta Padre has posted patch #2 details for NCAA Football 10.

Quote:
"EA Sports has released the details of the second patch for NCAA Football 10. This appears to be a very substantial patch which is somewhat expected since the first patch addressed little other than fixing the sliders, adding the ability to turn off DLC cheats in Online Dynasty, and making the somewhat more accurate rosters playable online. The patch is expected to be out soon but no official date has been specified as of yet.

As has been pointed out though in the comments there is no mention of player progression. That has been one of the most discussed issues with the game and was anticipated to be fixed but according to the info has not been addressed. I’m also surprised that there hasn’t been adjustment made to the Aggressive (aka Facemask penalty) game planning."

Not a very impressive list at all. A couple minor game play fixes I care about but that is about it. The two biggest issues were also completely ignored.

I have to say I am liking this game less and less each day with all the issues it has. I was hoping the second patch would change that, I guess not.

Also it is a embarrassment when this many bugs and glitches have to be patched.

Also I am very skeptical of how much the blocking ai and CPU running decisions were really improved. Probally very marginally.

I'm disappointed that the kill clock feature isn't going to be used by the CPU. While I'm not a huge NFL fan, the accelerated clock in Madden is too good to pass up. Yeah, I know that sounds weird, but I'm a stickler for realism and 10 play, 1 and a half minute drives in NCAA just isn't going to cut it.

I second that. This team has proven for the last time that they don't get it. Not fixing progression is one thing. But not fixing fatigue on defense is INEXCUSABLE.

Time to bring on a new team.

Can't say I didn't see this coming.....with the whole hush hush business about this patch

This gets labeled with an Epic Fail

and now we have to question how much they really are devoted to listening to the community again just when they started to give us hope this year

Once again EA has another blemish on an otherwise flawless game franchise......

Would have also liked to see them fix the graphics - the skinny arm glitch snuck back in. I think it was addressed last year through a patch. I can't stand it when my linebackers or fullbacks get those skinny arms... I've cut players because of it. Such a stupid little thing but it drives me nuts!

Wow, too many 5 year old whiners with access to the internet, these days. Websites should enlist some type of proof of age like this one site I went to where they REALLY wanted to make sure you were your age, just to watch a game video. I was impressed.

I hate to say it but I'm enjoying the heck out of this game and if they fixed fatigue it would be the best game on next gen with only 2006 last gen being better, in my book.

BTW isn't this list of fixes unofficial anyway?? Could it yet come out that more was addressed anyway? Man, I hope so.

I really really really hope that you are right sabre.

If they weren't addressing progression or fatigue, it would have been much better to say so weeks ago, so that people wouldn't have kept their hopes up. Sure, people would have been upset then, but, they are even more upset now.

i was hoping that maybe there were some untold detail's as well like maybe thing's were not coded right and Sony/Microsoft sent those back and they are hoping to get them in...I just don't see the sense in not addressing the 2 biggest thing's that were compained about i dunno maybe they are as incompetent as people say i guess we will find out when the patch arrive's..i would think they would try and get it out b4 the Season Showdown tourney started

Just to clearify, what exactly is the fatigue problem? Do you mean the rotation problem?

I think I'm just going to hang low and stay out of the madness thats about to commence . It is going to go something like this or this

I have been waiting to start my dynasty until this patch came out...if there is seriously no progression fix I am simming some draft classes and trading this in...this has to be a joke

Flame away!

It fixes some much needed issues on the field, so I'm satisfied. But it will be drowned out by the calls of outrage at the player progression.

Lol @ peteykirch! That was clasic. It sums up EA Tiburon's logic (or lack thereof) perfectly.

I honestly think I'm going to sell NCAA, I appreciate Adam and his reports and being about of OS every year, but I know first hand that the progression and fatigue were to huge issue with the game, and I'm sure he knew this from everyone barking at him, and then the Patch details get released yesterday and it's like a hard kick to the You know what, I just feel a bit cheated out of my $60 on how all those issue were pathces, and the some of the fixes say" Some fixes were made to this and that", SOME, I mean if it was patched was say some and just not fixed some of the issue completely.

It is a little upsetting, and we all do have our rights to chi9me in on this even if it;s in a negative way, that's because we are the one's buying the game.
