Not reading all 23 pages of this.

But this type of mode is exactly what I've been wanting out of a basketball game forever. It would of been great to put it in last year with the addition of the 5 on 5. Hopefully everything is done right with this, because they could really add on to this.

The Career Mode could be like this:

You get drafted after the announced workout sessions and ratings. Afterwards you sign the contract and get your role. You have to participate in the summer league and the training camp afterwards. You can gain rating points in every-day-practice. Like running suicides to gain stamina and quickness, or run the plays to get court-awareness and intelligence.

By performing good in practice the coach will give you more playing time, if you don't do well in practice you will get less.

When the game starts you could either interact on the bench for your teammates or it should simulate till you get the chance to perform on-court. And how you will act on the court will either improve your playing time or shrink it.

Performing good things like rebound, assist, score, ... should give you points which will lead to an upgrade of your ratings in those categories.

What do you think about it. That is just some ideas I came up with in the last minutes.

what i want to know is, do you get drafted or signed to a team?

if you get drafted, would this be some sort of fictional draft? or like 2010 draft? because the 09 draft happened already. if its the 2010 draft, would all the rosters be the same?

on the other hand, i don't think many players want to start their careers undrafted

thoughts?

Nice... I'm really hoping this has enough depth where guys on the board will spend more time enjoying the game than complaining about it on here. Since it's using the teamplay ratings it definitely will be rewarding smart, team oriented play. Don't expect to take the center coast to coast, dish it/dunk it and increase your rating.

Will definitely make the September wait that much less painful. Can't wait to create my guy and build him up.

With that said we the consumer should take notice of what's going on and stop praising them since the game has gotten worse after 2k7. This gimmick that they are shoving at people for 5 dollars is the same game rehashed over and over again. in training camp you are going to run some drills play 5 on 5 street ball. isn't that in 2k9 2k8 2k7. i mean come on are you seriously about to give them more money for this? this sounds and looks like how EA used to be, i guess because at the end of the day it's all about the money but nobody sees that part.
I respect your opinion but I think you need to read this <<<-----------Click and READ. It will greatly enlighten you before you go ahead and talk about things that you may or may not understand completely.

This really makes me wish that they kept College Hoops, how cool would it be to go from college to combine to the league? I am a big career mode guy which is why I love the Show, I am able to do the career mode and have fun in franchise mode as well.

Nothing that you said screams "game developer".
