They're not taking career mode or those editing options out for the final... that would be supremely stupid. This mode is just a way to develop your created career players for use in the final game.. they probably progress faster/start off better for career mode or something as a reward as well as having special achievements.

I'll probably get it just because I'm a fiend and it's $5. I like career modes anyway, so I'll probably get some mileage out of it if it's decent.
Stumble I am sure it doesn't hurt thier "stickiness" factor in getting guys who are only going to buy one game leaning towards their product before the two games hit the store shelves...

Yeah for sure.. it's a fairly smart strategy, assuming that Live doesn't release a pre-order demo a la Madden that comes out first (which I REALLY hope they do, since I'm dying to try that game). Good way to build anticipation and show off the game while making some extra scratch.. I don't knock the hustle.

At least it wasn't a damn riddle haha.

Yep, I think this might become a new trend

I need more answers!

Is this basically the association practice mode?

-more importantly-

Does this mean my loser friends can no longer create super players who are all 99's across the board?

Forget it. The 5 cents will be spent regardless.._

Not such a bad idea for 2k...I know i'll spend the money when the time comes, i'm too much of basketball junkie to just ignore it and let it float on by.

I hope this is like MLB RTTS mode!!

The idea is cool, I'll never use it, it would be nice if they put a code in to make the draft classes of CH 2k8 compatible with 2k10. I mean from the looks of the graphics it's still using the same ole' engine with those terrible models.

I'll buy it anyways, because I'm getting the collector's edition. Other than that, I can see not much as far as visual will be different. 3 games in a row and still they look the same.

2k9 and 2k10 look exactly the same!

2k7 looked decent, 2k8 was a minor improvement due to the better lighting and drop in crowd detail.

2k9 stole the crowd technology from CH 2k8 along with the crazy atmosphere, and it brighten the screen and added more detail to players faces. Shoes are still blurry, accessories have always looked painted on and the exact same tattoo options since 2k6.

2k series has barely improved each year, other than switching the button configuration, removing and adding animations, and changing the way it presents itself with flash.

I'm the biggest 2k guy and everyone on OS knows it, but it's really time to come with it. And Take Two still don't seem to care that NBA Series has competition and they need new technology, not just new animations and flashy download features.

I'll 4th that. Funny people trying to criticize the graphics when it smokes other games in side by side comparisons

How about releasing this where it isn't online for the few folk like me that don't have online... I guess I will have to get it if this turns out to be a nice feature.

If you would actually look at 2k9 when compared to 2k8 it's like night and day. You have every game under the sun so it should be easy for you to do a comparison.

What is sad is people saw me mention graphics and thought I said they looked bad. I'm saying they aren't improved, there is a difference to what I'm saying.

2k9's player model details were incredible, and like said Sage said along with others was the best looking basketball game. Thanks to detail. That is the one area 2k has always had a strong point.

I'm saying terrible from those screens, because I mean they don't look any different. It's looks like they are pulling a EA sports when they release NCAA FB 10 which looks like NCAA FB 9.5.

From the looks of those screens, it looks like NBA 2k9.5 not 10. I might be jumping the gun, but the competition is really changing and it seems TT is keeping Visual Concepts in a freeze frame, and are slightly letting up on the pause button. I'm not seeing much difference in graphics. But then again, it's CAP detail, not in game models. Even thought that previous Shaq and Lebron image didn't look all that hot either.

I apologize I meant they used it the features! Since ZT from the CH series is now working on the NBA projects, they have the right.
