I knew the smoke that had initially surrounded this rumor, had some fire to it, and as I expected, the DLC/draft combine appears to be a lot deeper than what was first thought. I really like what I'm hearing from this new mode, and I believe its going to add depth to the overall package that is NBA 2K10.

Edit:It appears that they even released screens of it.... Wasn't expecting that at all from them. Nice.

I only recently began learning the joys of Association mode. Really not a "create myself" kinda guy, but seems like a great value for what it is - can't beat $5 really. Guess it has a ton of potential for those that like creating fictional players and inserting them into the game. Or even creating past college/pro players and working them through a career.

The amount of signature options alone is ridiculous; almost seems like there's too much that can be customized from what it looks like. If the practice court is relative to the pro courts, looks a little wider. Hopefully there won't be a bunch of default black or white shoes on the players and the Insider or whoever takes time to customize the players for default rosters

Yea, I know how you feel man. I don't really like creating players, but it is optional to get the Combine or not. I want to see what Association has to offer now, it wasn't that interesting in 2k9.

for 500 points , ill probably get it just to kill some time before the game is released. Gives us a little taste of the gameplay and stuff.

This looks interesting and all that...but are those seriously the graphics we'll see in 2k10? Those screenshots look like 2k5. Then again 2k has a history of releasing terrible quality screenshots.

I'm hoping those are just the graphics from the combine, which are a dumbed down version of what will be in the final game. If not that's a huge disappointment considering how much Live has stepped it up in the presentation department.

I think it is pretty cool , for 5 bucks i think it is not too bad at all.
They get a little extra cash and we get a little early time with the game and it all intergrates into the game. NICE 2k

This sounds legit. And thank God it's only 400 points. I'd rather it be free, but I have points that I can shell out.

Shoe editor looks tight, the signature style options are ridiculous. Every I think that 2k just needs 5 yards for a first down, they take 15 and hit pay dirt. I never imagined they'd go that in depth with just shooting styles.

I will say that I'll be disappointed if these customization options are only for created players and can't be edited for the original rosters.

A lot of us don't care one whit about Career type modes, but I bet almost all of us are going to pony up the five bucks for this DLC just to get an early taste of the game. I know I probably will and I'm already angry with myself for being so weak.

I guess I wouldnt mind a career mode...

It has some replayablity to it if done right... it was Sony's biggest catch and their game needed tons of work.

I might get it but im indifferent either way at the moment.

Nothing wrong with putting your own player in the game...how about a team of guys though?

i think portlandblazer and nogster will do an EXCELLENT job doing rosters in 2k10 with all of those customization choices

is this going to be based on the 2k9 build or will be on an updated platform at all?

# 36 DC @ 07/28/09 12:57 PM
Yea I feel the same way. I stopped creating myself in Live 96. If I create anybody it is usually people that aren't on a game. I don't know what I will do. I just hope we can do all of the ATTACKS Drills from the regular game

I never understood why 2K's accessory colours tend to seem messed up.

For example, in this picture the white armband looks silver:
Small issue, but it does bother me a tad.

the fact that there is only one position and not two gives me hope that we will have something similar to a depth chart that would GREATLY help the rotation

I'm just guessing of course, but with all the new sig options that we see in the screenshot, I would think that it would be a 2k10 build because of all the new animations that your player has to be able to perform.

In looking at the screens, it appears "eyebrows" have made a return for created players.... Now if 2K could just have a hair style editor that has a "fade" - I would be happy LOL!!
