"A rookie defensive back sealed the fate of the Ravens today, sending the Titans into the second round of the playoffs in Madden NFL 10.

The Tennessee Titans (9-7) took on the Baltimore Ravens (10-6) in the opening game of the AFC Wildcard game today in a crazy back and forth game filled with dazzling special teams and defensive play. QB Joe Flacco threw an interception as time wound down that rookie CB Ryan Mouton intercepted with less than 20 seconds to go in regulation to seal the Titans victory."

why the heck did Hammond mention that Collins "went over 3500 yards w/ that pass"???...why are they STILL combining playoff and regular season stats????

Works both ways.

People go into a BB forum and bash Madden.

I agree you all do understand that this is a video game right? Everyone seems to think they are NFL head coaches.
i agree i think its okay to give criticism but everyone must remember this IS a video game and will NEVER resemble a real NFL game perfectly.
On another note I love the Pro Tak improvements from the e3 build and i thought the pocket looked better also. Presentation looks awsome I can't believe the improvements that have been made in one year. I can't wait to sit in the pocket and make a realistic throw for once. Thank you ian and team for giving a me a game that will keep me entertained until next year . only negitive is the speed of the legs when players are sprinting, i think its the stride length or something but definitely not a game killer. You have earned my $60.

The videos look really nice, atmosphere is such an improvement from 09. The emotion from the crowd, the appropriate chants on 3rd down, just really satisfying.

Madden 08 was a flat out abortion for the Madden NFL name.
Madden 09 was fair, but lacked sliders (and balance) and franchise mode was a mess.

I believe Madden 10 will be a game that I (and many others) keep playing past October this year!

I do want to mention just a couple things I'd be grateful to see tweaked before the game releases. Please do look at the DL and how they pressure the QB and funnel the running game. Even if means just tweaking the DL animations to make it look like they are struggling to get to QB, trying harder to get a sack, it'd be really nice.

I'm sure LBz and Adem have that whole situation covered though, so please do consider their input. In my experience LBz speaks for the majority of us football fans. He says what we are all thinking but can't quite put together coherently as far as how players are behaving on the field.

Also please consider the Pick 6s. I am not saying that they are an issue in M10, I have no way of knowing, but they were just uncontrollable in M08 and still very bad in M09. So far in the videos they have been too frequent. Those plays happen so rarely in the NFL unless it's a screen pass picked off or something like that.

In Madden 09 I had to use a "house rule" against the CPU that I wouldn't run back my INTs, I would take 20-40 yds max (depending on field position) and then run out of bounds. Please make sure we don't need house rules like this for M10.

Other than those two issues and some various uniform/helmet/equipment issues that Kane has covered well, I am really excited for the game this year.

That's cool that you backing up Ian. Who is a really good guy, but lets be fair here.
Ian stated "If you see it on Sunday , you will see it in Madden"
Now your saying its never going to resemble real life football, but Ian want's it to.

Ian making that statement opened the door for criticism. Now players want to see it in Madden if they see it in Sunday.

I feel that they can be more constructive with their criticism, but I don't think that criticism should be stopped if it's pointing out what's wrong with the game.

I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more, this game looks leaps and bounds better than last year's, so thanks again for all the work and input you've given us. I really hope a few bad apples don't sour you away from these boards for good.

Hmm looks like EA has some OS members on their payroll.
Alot of yes men are coming outta the wood work all of a sudden.

I just finished watching all the videos and these interception returns are just unbelievable. I know i'm not the first one to mention it. Guys gain like a extra speed burst on these returns.

I find it funny how people say oh it's just a video game oh you shouldn't expect everything to be in it, yet EA's motto is " If it's in the game, it's in the game"

^Look at that video , EA. Look how Chris Johnson is running. Don't tell me you guys can't make players run like that.

bolded part same thing for me.... I dont like having to set my own house rules stating I can't run more than 1 INT back for a TD in a game...

I'm not sure of any great way to fix this... other than the CBs shouldn't have really high Ball carrier vision or moves (stiff arm, spin, juke)... but i think it may come down to the fact that the offensive players maybe need to have 99 pursuit or something after an interception... I'm not sure if any of that will fix the issues... I just wish a pick 6 was as rare and special as it should be....

Agree with almost everything you said except the Everything on Sunday statement. Ian didn't mean to say "in Madden 10." He came back a few post later and said what he meant was 10, 11,12, 13, etc........

I am not saying criticism is a bad thing, its good for the game. But we should all remember nothing in real life can be perfectly resembled in a video game, this includes NFL games. I think some people need to chill out and just have FUN playing/watching the game and quit worrying so much about how close the game is to a real NFL football game. Criticism of exploits in the gameplay is good but just remember it will never resemble real life perfectly. I think there is a big difference from seeing an actual NFL game being perfectly played out in a video game and a video game being a great representation of NFL football, which madden 10 is.

I thought he stated that it would be their motto... and something to go off of when choosing what gets added into the game and what doesn't... He meant it in a way that will help get the important features into the game that are true to the NFL... (not ringbuilder and stuff like that)... I don't think he meant that EVERY SINGLE LITTLE THING you see on a sunday will make it into the game... But he will try to get most of what he can... He means things like chain-gangs, refs, penalties, stuff like that.... I don't think he meant the players would run exactly like their real-life counterpart or whatever...

exactly there is only so far a video game can go when the goal is replicating real life..

Still very much impressed with the progress of this game. I'm liking the zoomed in follow through of tackles, where you watch the end of the tackle unfold on a closer scale. Very nice.

I hear you , but remember these games are not being given away for free. They do cost $59.99, which is pretty expensive. Also Im sure the majority will agree the best madden of all time would not be from the next gen era, but from the last gen era, so expectations from last gen to next gen were high. A lot of fans are very disappointed so far.

When you spend that much on a game you want a solid product. I can understand both sides for sure. You make solid points and so do those that are not as easily satisfied.

In all honesty those that are very picky and continue to complain about the game, will also be the reason why Madden will get better. Ian hates it when a member complains a ton about a certain aspect of the game. It just makes him go hard in correcting it. Now this is all because of those members that wont be satisfied so easily.

In the end everything will be a lot better than Madden 09. Ahhhhh ok I have to say it lol, just not the animations. Sorry I just cant help it
