NCAA Football 10 News Post

Hey guys... so we are aware of the issue with no (or few) freshmen on some teams in TeamBuilder and yes the same issues are found on the NCAA 10 disc. Over the past few days, one of our top priorities has been investigating solutions.

The TeamBuilder teams require some data on the disc to set Depth Charts for every team created before they can be used in a game. For example if you use the Cupcake roster as a starting point, NCAA 10 will give you a default Depth Chart for the Cupcakes for your TeamBuilder team (which you can edit in game). This means any changes we make could cause some problems with teams already created using TeamBuilder. So we need to ensure we are taking to proper steps to correct the issues.

We understand the concerns with how this can affect Dynasty mode and Online Games, so we are working hard to have a solution in place before launch on July 14th.

2-But... if the developers can't handle the intense criticism, then maybe the should consider developing a nice game like Viva Pinata where they won't get their feelings hurt.

I'm sure they can deal with people being "mean" to them over the internet... They probably won't lose sleep.. and if history has shown us anything, it's that they don't even listen to us half the time anyway

I have nothing against telling the developer what they did wrong. That should be the reason they came here in the first place, to improve their game.

I just think it is horrible how people treat each other. These are real people with families and feelings. Just because it is over the internet doesn't make it right. Can they take it, I'm sure they can, but it doesn't make it any less childish.

I'm a marketing major and realize that customer satisfaction is very important. If the developers read this and realize that some of the bugs just aren't acceptable to the fans, then maybe something will change. As customers we do have the right to voice our opinions and be "mean" over a video game. We are the ones paying $60 for it, after all. Kissing the developers butts won't get us anywhere.

Let me repeat, I will buy this game and enjoy it, but all of these screw ups have been pretty discouraging and a lot of the traditional NCAA fans are losing interest in a product that isn't at its best.

I'm sorry for apparently hijacking the thread, I am just being honest.

I am really sorry if you think I was attacking you. I wasn't refering to one post Being honest in a respectful way is in no way hijacking a thread.

I am not calling anyone childish, just some of the responses. If the roster thing bothers you that bad, I agree, don't buy the game. There are just multiple ways to show this outrage. Some do it the right way and some don't.

LOL

You don't have to pay $60 for any video game if you feel its not worth it.

THE ROSTER THING WAS AN ACCIDENT !!!! at least the seniors still in the game part. THIS IS WHY..

Heres an example(this is a situation with graduating seniors still on the game). if you go to LSU's roster template In the teambulider thing you see LG # 79 as the starter with a 92 rating. Well that happens to be a senior who got drafted in the past draft, Herman johnson. Then if you go to the NCAA10 offical website and go to the season showdown overview video (about halfway through the video) you will see a clip of LSU vs Miss ST game being played. if you puse the video at the right time you see the starting LG is not #79 but the real starter #60. And all the other positions have the starters in so i know the 1st string is in.
SO this being said at one time or another the correct rosters were loaded. concluding, this roster disaster is the fault of loading the wrong roster file.

Great find! I didn't notice that. I agree it was an accident, that is why some rosters are perfect and some are horrible. It must have been a roster file that was half way done that got put on the disk. Still sucks, but an accident, hope they can come up with a fix.

You don't "have to" spend a dime on this (or any other) game. If you're unhappy, let EA know by voting with your wallet.

its not much an issue but rather the fact that this is a repackaged ncaa 09 with some different moves and field goal nets.

at least madden pulled the effort.

pastapadre said it best.

"Most of the improvements are subtle and overall the game feels an awful lot like 09."

dont great minds think alike?

I agree... Its like having only one mexican restaurant in town and everytime you go you get food posioning. You bitch and moan about it while you are praying to the porcelain god but then next week you are back at the restaurant waiting 45 minutes to be seated.

For the fist time since NCAA 2001 i will not be purchasing an ncaa football game, this series has become an utter joke.

So, why not go out and play those instead? You can find 'em for cheap. There is a PS2/Xbox version of the game still being made, people. It'll have all those features/modes and other aspects you love - plus, it's cheaper than the current gen offerings. Did it ever occur to you that some of the fans here are college football fans over anything else? Personally, there is nothing like taking the Missouri Tigers at Farout Field and dominating. There are NO other options for people like this.

Sure, you can go to Taco Bell, but it is nothing like authentic mexican, eh?

So have they decided what they are going to do yet?

Im sure most people here already own ncaa04.....

They want a newer game with newer rosters with next gen graphics....

I mean they did support EA by investing money on their game but yet instead of improvements they get nothing....

Half the people who buy NCAA every year are actual die hard college football fans, the others are just waiting for Madden....they are pleasing the wrong 50%

# 500 614buckeye @ 06/17/09 08:24 AM
They want a game with newer rosters? No they state they don't care if current NFL draftees are still in the game or players who are black that should be white or vice versa. They don't care about fictional players or very poor ratings.. they don't care the top teams are grossly overrated or that the mid schools are underrated and were neglected of any type of time taken on them.

All they care about is this damn Teambuilder, The fact that the year on the game is 2010, and buying it at midnight.

They literally will send EA 60 bucks if EA sent them 09 in a 10 case.
