NCAA Football 10 News Post

Hey guys... so we are aware of the issue with no (or few) freshmen on some teams in TeamBuilder and yes the same issues are found on the NCAA 10 disc. Over the past few days, one of our top priorities has been investigating solutions.

The TeamBuilder teams require some data on the disc to set Depth Charts for every team created before they can be used in a game. For example if you use the Cupcake roster as a starting point, NCAA 10 will give you a default Depth Chart for the Cupcakes for your TeamBuilder team (which you can edit in game). This means any changes we make could cause some problems with teams already created using TeamBuilder. So we need to ensure we are taking to proper steps to correct the issues.

We understand the concerns with how this can affect Dynasty mode and Online Games, so we are working hard to have a solution in place before launch on July 14th.

Are you serious? You go to google.

Eastern Michigan Football Roster 2009

Then the first hint might be that they have 0 freshmen.

people that created schools can recreate.. not a big deal at all, it's a freaking beta things will change.

The game disc rosters should be the MAINNNNN priority, it would be a total waste to ruin the game because an online application that 40% will not use.

50,000 created teams or 500,000+ unhappy customers?
Jobs are scarce now a days... do what's logical.

Yep...Not to mention the "50,000" user's problem is fixable and re-doable whereas the 500,000 user's problem is irreversible.

And again, it's not like all 50,000 of those create-a-school are legit anyway. I'd bet less than half of them will actually be used and about 10,000 of those users would not care if they had to re-do them for the sake of accurate rosters.

But, yes, I agree with everyone else. End the Teambuilder "Beta" and come out with the real rosters on there. Put the real rosters on the game.

Say April Fools, we got y'all, and let's get on with this.
I don't think people realize just how much work goes into creating ratings for players. It's no easy task.

Sure the community could get the right names in the game, but I don't know if I'll trust the player ratings for every single school. Tons of reasearch goes into that and no one here has the time or resources to devote to that.

A group you're the first and only member of.

You seriously have to be one selfish person to want your precious create-a-school not to be touched for the sake of ruining rosters for literally everyone else. A create-a-school that could easily be re-done. The disc rosters can't.

It's actually a pretty damn good one..every year EA does something to kill this game, only to save it (barely keep it breathing) at the last minute..last year we couldn't edit all the rosters until they put out the patch, not to mention all the other problems with the game..if you're going to buy the exclusive rights and charge $60 for a game then it better be the best damn game in the world..or stop ruining football games and give someone else a chance to make one..

EA=fail, over and over

It are post from the mentally challenge(d) like this Pylon (definition in context - useless tool that sits there and does nothing), that makes me wonder whatever happened to natural selection. Darwin must be truly turning over in his grave. Your "type" should have died off years ago. Posts like the one I have quoted have multiplied like rabits since the EA developers have come to these boards. It has become like, a marching band of idiots pronouncing to the world that "EA sucks" and they want the developers to know it. I don't post often, however I wish people like this would just GROW A LUMP and just die.

Again, thanks for the original insight.
Seriously? Pot, meet kettle. Nice glass house, by the way.

I do sincerely hope that EA can find a solution to this so that TeamBuilder isn't completely scrapped and correct rosters are available for all online and offline games. This was going to be the first time I bought this game on the first day, but now I'm going to have to wait and see what their solution is.

Enough of this immature crap, fellas. The ban hammer's about to come out...not even joking.

# 231 rudyjuly2 @ 06/11/09 09:38 AM
At the very least, EA should put an updated roster in the Roster Vault for offline users.

Probably loaded the wrong file and with E3 got too busy to catch it. I've emailed the wrong invoice to a customer before. It happens.

I'm not a roster editor guy so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

If the rosters go live and a team has say 54 players, does that mean the roster editors can only update the roster with 54 accurate players or can they add/delete people?

I apologize in advance it's dumb.

^ They would have to create a LOT of players and there is just a limited amount of CAP slots (I believe), so that would make for another issue.

No team should have less than 65-70 players. No excuses.

# 237 RU_Goo @ 06/11/09 10:37 AM
I'm an online dynasty guy so I don't think this will have a huge effect on me....I'll just let some people change the eligibility of some of the players so we can all have the same amount of true frosh, keeping it fair.

Hopefully most of our user teams rosters aren't totally messed up.

Maybe next season EA will work on gameplay and rosters instead of teambuilder and sportsmanship.

LOL.

If its like past games in the series. You can CAP up until all teams are filled. In 2007 i made over 500 players. But your part about them having to make more player is true for sure.

Hmmm... That sucks.

Maybe they can add some generic bad players to the bottom of the depth chart.
