Well hopefully this will be addressed next year bro.

I don't really have a problem with having a snickers logo there, not sure what the big to-do is since that's pretty similar to commonplace ads in an NFL broadcast. What I do mind is Hammonds horrible reading of "BE A CHOMPION".
There's usually an image of an ad during a coin toss? I know they usually show a sponsor before the game starts, and during half time shows, but I don't recall there being an image during the actual coin toss. And Hammond, is just horrible all around. I don't understand either, I thought the commentary was going to be fixed this year.

Dude that ain't even touching the real presention that you will see at E3. That video of the Eagles and Cowboys game was chopped up badly. So this is not a good presention by far. The true presention will come next week.

And puhlease, blatant advertisement and not representing a NFL game. Do you watch the NFL on tv? How many ads do they do after commercial breaks or tv show ads that pop up in between plays that commentators have to promote? The NFL and pro sports in general try to squeeze in ads anywhere they can.
Yeah, I'm not much of a comedian by any measure.

The difference between the TV and the game is I didn't pay $60 to watch the game. In fact, I don't pay anything to watch the game. The advertisement pays for me to watch the game for free. If they want to start giving Madden away for free, then fill it full of advertisements, but as long as people are paying for them, they should be used in context and that snickers ad does seem like it's in context to me.

Anyone else notice the Weather Channel there on the coin toss? Is there going to be real time weather conditions when you play the game?

You must be immune to some of the ads on TV by now. On an NFL broadcast are sponsors after almost every return from commercial break, regular plugs for the latest TV show from ___ (insert CBS, FOX, ESPN) scattered throughout the commentary, highlights/replays and broadcast features "brought to you by" sponsor X, "visits" to the booth by people peddling their products, and countless others. Video games have been safe from this invasion but it's inevitable, and in a game simulating the NFL it's not unrealistic.

I also think during the coin toss is a LOT less unobtrusive than having it pop up during gameplay or replays, which it doesn't seem to do (which does happen in real NFL broadcasts). Can't complain about that.

This is what I mean Ian. The post play camera should not have kicked in this early.

Ian wrote somewhere that weather will reflect actual weather conditions in the city you're playing in

Bleh.. instant direction changes are still in too. Junk. Watch the DB to the left side. He runs up, straight towards the WR that's running a straight route, then turns around to the right and instantly changes direction / speed. Couple this with the lack of route based passing and I see the same problems with warping and inability to properly read zone coverage continuing being a problem in Maddne '10. I just don't see how zone coverage, or any coverage for that matter, can work properly when guys can literally change directions without any impact to their speed.

Two guys running the opposite direction and the CB is still able to stop turn around and stay with the WR in such a way that that the WR is always covered. That's simply not realistic by any measure.

K. Hamlin?

I know we drafted Michael Hamlin, but players aren't allowed to put first initials on a jersey anymore.

Tivo is definitely my friend there. If it's part of the commentary or presentation that mirrors a true NFL broadcast, then it doesn't bother me. It's when it exits from representing the broadcast / game that the advertisement that the illusion of the simulation / immersion in the game is lost. At that point, it's not representing the NFL, it's just advertisements.

Well looks like Ian is taking a break from the boards. Now constructive criticism may be missed because of a few (maybe more than a few) dense heads here.

Well e3 is coming up and he said he would be away from the boards for a minute anyway and that should be expected. People have been throwing punches at Ian for a long time why would he take a break just because, of a few knuckle heads?

Ian can take a few punches of negative criticism or he wouldn't have lasted this long on the boards.

Well some people are happy and some people are not. I am happy from what I saw.
