i just saw the vid... wow... looks exactly like Madden 09! the atmosphere felt the same. the crowd is dead, commentary is the same, sounds very 'automated' doesnt feel live whatsoever.. Why did the fans booo when the cowboys got the fumble?

ONLY difference was the cut scenes and a little bit of presentation

Running animations look identical to 09 IMO very "robotic" im renting to buy... not wasting 65$ this year, no sir.

and i dont wanna here "oh well its pro mode its suppost to be like that" if its on pro we should have an easier time collapsing the pocket around the qb and from this video that is far from the truth. if this is what we get than thats disappointing from all the hype about it. when i first saw gameplay of the pocket in igns "blocking" video is was perfect, it just needed to set up faster and the ends had to try to avoid the tackles and not run right into them, this is like a 180 turn. wtf happened?
That was one of the comments I made actually. Too wide and too slow forming. DE's engaging way too early. It's almost as if the Tackles are going to control the A.I controlled DE's. Now I know the higher rated tackles are supposed to steer lower rated defenders wider, but man that's hella wide. Right now there are only two things I really need them to tune and that's the speed of the pocket and make sure my Dlinemen have movement against the run when I call crash right/crash left. If they can give me that, I'll be able to do most of what I need to do on D.

I just watched the video and WOW, that looked amazing.

# 185 primetime24 @ 05/28/09 09:24 PM
wow amazing! presentation / cutscenes are impressive and looking great. and romo's stance is different from mcnabb! thats great. i thought it was different throw styles only, i didnt know they added different qb stances as well.

good job EA!!

Camera flashes will progessively grow based on the magnitude of the game being played.

Preseason, regular season, playoffs, or Super Bowl

Live still has some putrid animations, but the advancements in their physics system had made the game 100x's more realistic than their previous efforts. Obviously the technology is there for EA and Madden should've capitalized on it this year.
How do you know that they haven't capitalized on it this year?

My fault man, I thought you were bashing. To everyone else, there is still over a month left of development time to tune everything and make a few more changes. I think they have made some good strides though.

However, they must address the pocket issue. There was way to much time back there. As soon as the ball is snapped, the tackles need to open up and start to form the pocket. I would be accurate as hell if I had that much time. In a real game, you've got about 4 seconds to do something or you're toast.

This is the only game in town,we have to hope your CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISM is heard and not your whining and bickering. In no way do I love EA, I have bashed the heck out of them too,but I' just saying save your critics for August 14th. And save your hypeness as well, you know EA can get you ready to run through a wall. We still don't know about WR/DB interaction, franchise mode, and a host of other things......calm down fellas!
What do you mean? Overall Im getting the impression the majority liked most of they saw. Right now I feel like Im the only one that flat out didnt like it. Im like Padme in Star Wars III when the emperor takes over the senate...."So this is how Madden dies, to the sound of thunderous applause."

i think more lean is necessary when making turns at full speed (maclin [wooot] running). and that mcnabb doesnt wear a double band, or westbrook those big shaun alexander armbands, he has normal black or white bands and wrist bands (white)

I just wish there were a little bounce animation in the QB's feet as they stand there in the pocket looking for a WR

NCAA really needs to steal their pre-game presentaton.

After watching the video(Eagles vs. Cowboys)..I couldnt help but notice these size issues that madden has always had..and to make my point..the guy that looks like jamarcus russell playing left tackle(eagles)..is sappose to be this guy...

I dont know if its the angles..but the offensive line of the cowboys and the eagles looks smaller than their quarterbacks.

Exactly! Those tackles need to open up at the snap of the ball and the DE's should be getting up the field a bit before their touched!

Can't really judge Madden 10 till I see uninterrupted gameplay....

# 200 T9R @ 05/28/09 09:36 PM
The game attempting to form a pocket is an outstanding step to begin with, but I agree with LBzrule and others that it's far too wide and slow forming. Hopefully this has been heavily tuned
