just a minor personal annoyance, but I hate the camera flashes....lol

There's nothing more annoying than sitting next to a picture taker at a football game. Quit taking pictures and watch the game already.

OK, I hope this is an early build. There is no DOF throughout the entire video, with the one exception of the fumble pile-up. Plus no colored cleats. I'd say very early build.

It's crazy, this video is about 2 weeks old and it already looks totally out of date to me because of all the recent changes we've been making to gameplay. It still is a good showcase of many of the things you guys should expect to see.
Good to hear Ian...keep up the great work...if you've already made improvements to crowd noise, run fits, and a faster forming pocket in just two weeks I am beyond impressed!!

the only thing i am really disapointed in is the lack of a new kicking system( a shield instead of a circle, oh boy). I think all the other aspects are making steps in the right direction, some steps bigger than others

I'm pleased with what I saw. That 'fresh coat of paint' for every year's Madden game is a welcome sight....HOWEVER...

Ian - Tom Hammond is dragging down your game, dude.

While the rest of Madden has leaped into present with the gusto of JJ Abrams' Star Trek - Tom Hammond is like a layer of dust on top of the whole thing. He sounds like an old man. Hammond may be 8 years younger than Madden - but when it comes to energy and delivery - the guy CANNOT compare.

Here's some adjectives that came to mind when I brainstormed descriptions of Tom Hammond in Madden:
Corny.
Wack.
Tired.
Boring.
Phony.
Stitched.
Old.
Musty.
Generation Gap.

Please tell me he's not under a multi-year contract, because simply getting us commentators with some LIFE will take Madden leaps and bounds further than you guys already have.

New Rule - if the dude's over 50 and he's not John Madden - DO NOT WANT.

Ugh, I gotta take a shower now.

Ian, I noticed something wrong right away as the the cowboys are going to kick off. The 2 cowboy defenders in front of the kicker start the exact same animation routine at the exact same time. It looks really akward and unrealistic.

Yea I loved the fumble pile. But I will turn it off and let the AI decide who gets it.

gameplay looks really good. Im sure we will be shown more cutscenes when the final build is ready also.

One thing that bothered me is the commentary by Hammonds. Absolutely horrible, IMO. Sounds just like Sega Sports Talk Football on Genesis.

That answered two issues for me. Thanks Ian.

Looked good, although there was something that annoyed me. On the fumble play, the Eagles center looked to be blocking invisible man. I'm not sure if I'm the only one that caught this or not, the play starts at 1:14.

It's nice to finally players without their helmets that adds alot.

It is new. I only remember player intros in Madden 2005, but that wasn't next-gen.

Looks like weather channel in Madden 10 baby!!!

Looks good. Presentation looking good.

But the atmosphere just seems dead to me. Crowd noise just isn't there.

Ian said that the crowd noise was completely broken in that build.

Everything looked good but I agree with the guys, Hammonds needs to go. He takes away the life of the game.

It would be nice if they could show off the new face art more and use them in place of the silhouettes on the roster screens for guys without pics.

While watching that video, I definitely thought of NFL2K5 with the amount of little things that have been added to the game. This is a very good thing.

I really like the direction this game is headed. Question though, just for clarity; do all the scripted events (i.e. player celebrations, coin toss, etc.) have a fade to black before they occur, a la FIFA? Or was that done by IGN for editing purposes (I noticed they skipped the playcalling screens using the same effect)?
