General:
  • AL and NL West (including Cubs) schedule addresses. Day games updated to correct time zone.
  • Addressed CPU Pitcher Energy from always full when pressing the quick menu while batting.
  • Fixed the issue when in the bullpen moving from last pitcher (closer) to top pitcher, the top pitcher's stats stay the same as the closer.
  • Inning pitched count corrected for pitchers during spring training. This is in ALL SEASON Modes.
  • Fixed AUTO BASERUNNING. Users should no longer be able to control steels for you or CPU using L1 and L2 in any game at any time.
  • Fixed the Movie Recording feature in both Replay and Replay Vault. Users should no longer get stuck after multiple recordings.
  • Players names not being called correctly in the audio. One specific item was Beltran being called Delgado and vice versa. This line used to be erroneously said for Juan Rivera. It has now been corrected to play for Casey Kotchman. This line used to be erroneously said for David Ortiz. This line used to be erroneously said for Miguel Cabrera. It has now been "disabled".
  • Career stats after going online and using weekly online Live Rosters or using the Online Roster Vault should now be correct.
  • Fixed issues with unbalanced trades when the rosters were full. 3 for 1 trades that will result in people being placed on waivers should now function.

  • Fix switch hitter sub presentations using the wrong helmet sometimes.
  • Fix RTTS CP never getting a goal before the 1st pitch

4.Fixed a bug where the user controlled team would not receive compensation picks when they lose Type A and B freeagents.
5.Fixed bug not allowing farm directors to be hired or fired. Just load into a franchise and fire a farm director during the off-season.
6.Addressed a problem where the title loses simulating functionality in franchise mode when addressing online requests.

Online:

In other words, continue your current franchise at your own risk.

In other words, bite the bullet and start over. I did.

It's so lame and frustrating the problems which come along with next gen games. Instead of excessive testing, they know they can POSSIBLY fix the problem in the future with a crappy patch.

Last year Madden kept freezing during games and I had to wait over a month to start my season.

The Show's games take much longer, and of course the season is much much longer than the NFL, so it's even more frustrating in this case when things are running right.

I started my MLB Franchise the day knight released the Full Minors V1 rosters. I love this game, very very much. I spent hours editing the music for every single MLB player. I have come to the conclusion that if my franchise crashes, I will not be restarting one. I have already invested far too much time. I'm 5 - 3 in my early season and have 3 exciting come from behind victories.

I've already started over twice, waiting for the rosters (which I appreciate very much). It's just heartbreaking to learn how screwed up things can be. My RTTS crashed as well. So I'm just venting my frustrations, sorry if you don't care.

I don't want to give up on this game, but I am not spending the countless hours only to start all over. All I can do is hope, hope, hope it doesn't crash.

Russell, is it confirmed that if we start a post-patch 1.06 franchise then we are in the clear from crashing?

Thanks for the update Russell. If I plan on starting a new franchise using patch 1.06 and the mini-patch with Knight's V5 rosters, do I need to delete and reinstall everything (sliders, rosters, profiles, etc) prior to doing this or is the fact that I am starting a new franchise based on the aforementioned good enough.

I would like to avoid having to blow everything away if possible, but don't want any post-patch issues either. Thanks in advance.

Yeah you should be free from those completely if you start over. But some should be able to continue their old franchises if they can get past the schedule change. That's why you discrepancies in why its not effecting everyone.

This is why I no longer start seasons in April.... I just wait until the dust clears before I start a season.

Humans are imperfect, so I don't expect a game without some hiccups at release.

Looking for some help on this one.

Currently I am in the midst of my 2011 season(July 11, 2011), I am not able to move forward because the as soon as I try to click into the schedule the system immediately restarts. It is frustrating. Has anyone had a similar problem? Is there a fix for this issue?

Or, the other poster could just delete the patch and continue with his franchise without a problem.

It works well.

How does that work? People have only said they can only delete the whole game, not just the patch itself.....

How can you delete the patch? Where is the file?

You have to delete the game data utility in the main Playstation menu. (but not any saved game files).

Then when you start it up again, it will redo the initial installation. You won't have patch 1.01 anymore either, but as far as anyone can tell it didn't do anything important anyway.

The disadvantages to this are that you won't be able to play online and you won't be able to download SCEA roster updates. Also, you will lose any custom music information (like marks) that you may have.

The advantage is that you can continue your franchise. I guess it depends on how far in you are and if you have the patience to replay whatever you've done so far.

Good luck.

I'm pretty sure I never said anything about weekly attribute updates those are only done once a month. You will still get the weekly roster updates as always.

What is the actual date people with pre-patch franchises are having problems? The date of the schedule change?

I may try to sim past that date to see if mine crashes. I know some people aren't crashing at that specific date. I hope mine makes it past!!!!

Can someone explain the "schedule change" part of the above quote? I don't really know what that means, what I should look out for, and how to tell if it effects my team.

Thanks!!

Thanks!!
The original schedule that came with the game had a 3 game series in April for the Dodgers and the Padres and when the patch came out, they made it a 4 game series (which is the same as real life).

If you were already past this game in your franchise or RTTS, it screwed up the schedule causing crashing when you look at the schedule screen.

As far as I can tell, sometimes it will freeze at your schedule, sometimes if you're looking at another teams schedule, sometimes in april, sometimes in may (you get the point). Everyone has had different experiences with this it seems.

Anyway, if you have a franchise that is past the date when they added the game, there is a chance that you will encounter the freeze and I would suggest you either delete the patch, or restart your franchise.
