In other words, continue your current franchise at your own risk.

In other words, bite the bullet and start over. I did.

Unhappy Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here

It's so lame and frustrating the problems which come along with next gen games. Instead of excessive testing, they know they can POSSIBLY fix the problem in the future with a crappy patch.

Last year Madden kept freezing during games and I had to wait over a month to start my season.

The Show's games take much longer, and of course the season is much much longer than the NFL, so it's even more frustrating in this case when things are running right.

I started my MLB Franchise the day knight released the Full Minors V1 rosters. I love this game, very very much. I spent hours editing the music for every single MLB player. I have come to the conclusion that if my franchise crashes, I will not be restarting one. I have already invested far too much time. I'm 5 - 3 in my early season and have 3 exciting come from behind victories.

I've already started over twice, waiting for the rosters (which I appreciate very much). It's just heartbreaking to learn how screwed up things can be. My RTTS crashed as well. So I'm just venting my frustrations, sorry if you don't care.

I don't want to give up on this game, but I am not spending the countless hours only to start all over. All I can do is hope, hope, hope it doesn't crash.

Russell, is it confirmed that if we start a post-patch 1.06 franchise then we are in the clear from crashing?

Thanks for the update Russell. If I plan on starting a new franchise using patch 1.06 and the mini-patch with Knight's V5 rosters, do I need to delete and reinstall everything (sliders, rosters, profiles, etc) prior to doing this or is the fact that I am starting a new franchise based on the aforementioned good enough.

I would like to avoid having to blow everything away if possible, but don't want any post-patch issues either. Thanks in advance.

Yeah you should be free from those completely if you start over. But some should be able to continue their old franchises if they can get past the schedule change. That's why you discrepancies in why its not effecting everyone.

This is why I no longer start seasons in April.... I just wait until the dust clears before I start a season.

Humans are imperfect, so I don't expect a game without some hiccups at release.
