The patch was supposed to fix the game trapping you in replay mode but since the patch I've only tried to save a replay twice (I've been burnt too many times and 'afraid' to bother with replays because of it) and it doesn't seem like it's been solved. I say seem because one of the indicators I used to get sometimes that the game would lock me in replay mode was when clicking the left stick in it would immediately pop up with a 'movie saved' message. I just hit my first HR at the Twins ballpark, one which I always wanted a HR at, and had that exact scenario when trying to save the replay.

If I tried to save the replay again it would definitely trap me in there, the only saving grace with that particular error is if you press start you can exit the replay mode, sometimes you don't get that and it just freezes in replay mode first time round.

Just to relate my personal experience, I have a franchise going, Mid-April... the first game after installing the patch I saw the no post-game highlights, no players in the vault replays problem. In my next game (after powering down the system) those presentation elements had returned to normal.

I had highlights in the first new franchise game I played, but not in the second. The first was a low-scoring pitchers duel, with few hits, while the 2nd was high scoring, with 28 hits between the 2 teams. I'm wondering if there is only a certain amount of replay space now, and if you go above that you lose the post-game highlights. Mine stopped saving replays in the 6th inning.

Did some testing last night....

The NO Post Game Replay is related to bringing in relief pitchers or warming guys up in the pen

I pitched 2 complete games last night and both had post game replays.

The games in which I used relievers - no replays.

I tried not using the "Start" button to access the pen and used the "Up" button instead. No help.

Not sure why some of you are getting replays and some not. I have a new 80 gb system.

Also if you fast forward to the end of games after playing a few innings or do no put the relievers in yourself, you will get replays.

No, that's not it. I used relievers galore in the second game I played post-patch, which indeed had highlights and vault replays.

Same thing happened to me but my third game I didn't get the post game replays. SO sometimes you get them and sometimes you don't. I hope that SCEA can either fix this or tell us what is causing this to happen since I enjoy the post game highlights.

That is it. At least on my system. I tested for about 6 hours last night.

For all of you getting replays - What system do you have?

I have played post-patch as well. I have brought in relievers in games and have had the highlights at the end as well.

So, this is interesting that with your system that going to the bullpen causes this for you.

thats a good theory, I'll keep an eye on the amount of replays during a game.

Some games I get post game highlights, some games I dont. I am playing exhibition games post patch right now.

Six hours? Good grief, that's quite a long time for someone who flips out at the sign of "bugs" in other games!

Hopefully it helps!

The first game I played post patch, I used 3 relievers, and still had post game highlights. The second game, I used 2 relievers, and didn't have post-game highlights.

By testing, I mean I was playing exhibition games, which I enjoyed anyway. But I played full games, some games where I fast forwarded, games where I only batted and fastforwarded each 1/2 inning. Trying to figure out if I like HOF or All Star better.

Either way, I've said all along that the game plays a great game of ball on the field. So its not like other games where I have had to try for work arounds for on the field play. This "testing" was more just playing and seeing what happened in regards to the replays rather than the chore of testing work arounds and sliders like I found my self doing for other games that have glaring on the field issues.

Not sure if it is system related or not. However, I have NOT had an issue on either one of my systems (a launch 60GB and a 80GB MGS4 Bundle) - both have backwards compatibility, but I doubt if that matters either. I am getting replays/flashbacks in all my games so far, regardless of I use relievers or not, or skip a few innings, or sim a game in between.

I am about to sim forward to May 8 in my Tigers franchise, to see if I have the same issue as the other guy with the Tigers' franchise. Anyway, for me, there's been no issues post-patch.

NOTHING ELSE...
You can use them in any way, shape or form....You can use them in season, in practice, in franchise. You can use them for exhibition, for quick games for RTTS.
You can play them in your sweat pants...your skivvies.......in the suit that God gave you while drinking a mint julip and eating grapes.
Holy heck what would you guys do in a real emergency!!

I can't believe I actually feel bad like somehow all this added pressure on SCEA is caused by me. I cannot however start these rosters over again just to rid them of the stat glitch. Just can't do it.
Sorry.

Noone takes the time to just try things....I loaded up my pre-patch season using your rosters and everything's fine. My house didn't blow up, my dog didn't get sick...nothing happend...

I think its fair to say that it would be a real shame if the game would be left in the state as it is now post recent patch. No replays, no highlights, no flashbacks, replay vault not working etc. Heck, I can't even log on to sportsconnect now without at least dozen or so attempts. Ugh!
I think the devs most definately understand this situation is unsustainable.

SCEA San Diego: If a new patch is not an option for you for any reason (timetable, budget etc.), just release the previous working patch again to wipe out this "funky one" so at least we can play this wonderful game as it was, for the most part, intended. Fair? Thank you!

This morning I tried loading up the latest stock roster set from SCEA this past Monday and I didn't log onto SportsConnect (or whatever it is called) hoping that some combination like this might make the Highlights work, but unfortunately it was unsuccessful. Oh well. If this issue is widespread I can't see SCEA not doing something about it. Either coming up with a workaround or another patch. This is a big part of each game u play, and I can't see it not getting fixed. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Later

I have the 80GB MGS4 bundle, and I've had the replay issue. It's not a game breaking glitch for me, but it is disappointing that the patch didn't help me at all. I lost a franchise I had already started, and now the replays. The only benefit I've seen from the patch is the bullpen now shows the correct number of innings pitched.

Tedi, exactly what I was thinking. Give us the option to go back to the first patch that didn't have too many issues if a new patch can't be released. I just don't see SCEA leaving the game like this.
