The animations in the vid with Jimmy look much better than the animations in the Fitzgerald vid imo.

They are still not that great and the route running is still horrible.

Well I just heard that Ian is going to post some sim vids for us sometime soon.

Hopefully it will be better. I hate how press vids are set to rookie when the game plays Sim on all-pro/all-madden.

I don't think posting "sim" videos is going to change the animations.

The game speed in rookie is faster than all the other difficulty levels. Higher difficulty levels have slower game speed and therefore the animations should look better at those levels.

it was probably on rookie or pro...so i wouldn't worry so much about the 20 yards behind the line and then the bomb/catch...everything they've said so far about their goals for Madden 10 would be contradicted if this could happen on all-pro / all madden.

But oh well...

While i liked the idea, it came off as too crowded and futuristic for my liking.

Well, you did see his response to the play right? Why do you think they continue to develop the game this way... it's common sense. A very high majority if the people who play it do not want a full-on simulation. Why would you expect EA to cator to the minority?

Ian and crew can come in here and tout all they want about how the game is going to be a sim, etc. The fact is the game will stick to its roots and continue to make a killing in sales. Can't blame them really. It is what it is.

That's a glitch in the footage, not the game.

Way to contribute to the thread. Seriously, I think coming into a Madden thread and posting something like this should just be a ban. No one cares that you still prefer a 2k game. No one. Not even your mother. I'm starting to really hate video game forums and it makes me sad

At the same time, the mass market wouldn't mind a more sim experience.

Depends on what part of the mass market imo...

as said many times, there are a lot of kids and older people that want to play an enjoyable game that's not frustrating for them. Since madden sells as much as it does, you gotta make sure that those people are happy.

Best part was Jimmy saying "Look how evil my face looks there"

I understand what your saying, as this was my line of thinking as well. However, I am now agreeing with Bezo when he said the casuals or mass market might not notice the subtle improvements to OL/DL, WR/DB interaction, Robo QB, etc......

# 138 Bgamer90 @ 04/25/09 12:55 PM
^My favorite line was "... I toss it like a man does..."

lol

That's a good point.
