The post moves are executed almost exactly the same as last year.
Here are the BASICS
L Stick
-disengage by pulling away from opponent
-Hold R Trigger to Back Down
-Hold R Trigger and press L stick towards the Ball Hand to SPIN around opponent
R Stick
-press and hold any direction for contextual shot, i.e. hook, fade etc
-tap in a direction for ball fake
AFTER A BALL FAKE, you can
-tap in a direction for another ball fake
-hold in a direction for a shot attempt
-execute multiple fakes, attempt no shot(stop) and then go back to your hook/fade options
Y BUTTON
Spin/drop step
The demo is set to pro, so if you do the up and under(tap left/right with R stick, then tap opposite direction) with Pau or KG, you'll score every time they don't double you.

I just managed to play 3 quarters in one game no so long ago. I thought for a moment that I was going to be able to play a full game on the demo but at the end of the 3rd, the menu came up asking if I wanted a rematch.
Best game I played on the demo to date because I was able to do my first allyopp from Fish to Kobe with a one handed dunk. Everytime I've tried it, Ray Allen always seemed to get a hand on it so it was quite good to finally hit an allyoop.
I feel the pick and roll in this game is the best it's ever been, no other game has ever made the pick and roll look real enough but 2K9 seems to of nailed it on the head. Live looked good in the demo but after playing 2K9, it can't match it.
I wish we could see the little menus we got in 2K8 like Quick Iso or Quick Post Up, that made it easy to understand and they might be in the full game but I haven't seen them in the demo and therefore, I have no idea what the dpad actually does.
I've also got to get the Live demo out of my system, with Live not using the shot stick, I've gotten use to press X on the 360 when going for a layup or dunk instead of the shot stick, once that is done then the 2K9 will be alot more enjoyable.

Man I LOVE THE REAL TIME CUT SENCES! unlike live which has premade cut sences this is just awsome it makes the game so real. i mean when perkins made a basket they showing him running up court and you can see fisher in the background bringing the ball up court!
I skipped 2K last year, so it took some catching up to get used to all the new controls and just the feel of the game. I LOVE the demo. Post game is great. I've been switching back and forth between the teams, which is giving me a good idea of how different player types feel. It's nice having a guy like Ray Allen on the perimiter when you get an open look. I only wish I could play with a great PG like Paul. I'm even more excited for this game now. I should probably stop playing the demo, don't want to get sick of it.

I came running up court and just launched a 3 with Fisher. The falls about 1 foot short of the basket.
Crowd: "AIRRRR BALLLLLLL" Airrr ballllll Airrr ballll
It was such a bad feeling but felt so real with the atmosphere. It was great.

Just played with the Lakers and the first quarter score was 17-4. All points courtesy of Kobe...he's pretty much unstoppable in this game.
BTW, the alley oops aren't working for me for some reason. Every time I try to throw one up on a 2-on-1 break, the player throws a lead pass.

2ksports has a gift and it making video sports games, i dont know what all the fus is about. EAsports not even close. I really dont know what the nfl is looking at. All of there sports games togather dont even compare to this one basketball game, its that good.
Kobe's spin move is pretty much money on the demo. I love the iso motion controls now, very responsive as compared to 2k8

You have to press left trigger and A
assuming you're using 360
if you press left trigger and right trigger and a
that gives you the give and go in which you can press A
to give the ball back to the original passer

Jesus this game is SICK! I will admit i was leaning towards Live, but within 2 minutes of playing this demo, its so obvious that this game is the superior of the two. Ive pulled some sweet baseline fadeaways with Kobe. Got the 2 man game going with Allen/Garnett. This game is a definite purchase for me I've gotta change my sig. Just wish there were plays available in the demo. Also, I'm having trouble using isomotion. Any tips? Haven't played NBA 2k in a few years.
The game looks and plays amazing. Tons of little details I'm still digesting.
My only gripe is that they don't seem to know who to use. Playing the Lakers, Kobe wasn't getting many shots at all. Fisher was their main man with Gasol #2.

I've gotta say that I'm absolutely blown away by this demo. This game looks and FEELS like real NBA basketball. Kevin Garnett made a block on a Kobe Bryant drive that may be the sickest thing I've ever seen in a sports video game.
Amazing.
Amazing.
I won't go into details about how awesome the game is in just about every single way, cos I'm sure everyone has said that before me.
One thing troubling me is they commented on the ability to jump into the defender to draw the foul when you fake them into the air, and Pared confirmed it was in the game (whether that was because he read the same article I did saying it was back or has seen it ingame) but I can't for the life of me do it ingame. I can get Odom in the air countless amounts of times but can't jump into him. Is there even a special animation for it like in 2k7? Or do you just shoot normally and the ref calls a foul? Can anyone else pull this off?
I know it's not something I'll be doing in the game to score points, just wanted to see how it works in 2k9.
