Just hit pass again before it arrives. Hitting pass the first time and then hitting it again and holding seems to be the most reliable method.

Didn't they say that they were giving us the option to hold RB and keep the icons up for multiple icon passes? I know Live has that, but the icons keps going away after the first pass in the demo...

Pierce's shot is the exact same as last year. I can't believe they didn't change it considering how horrendous it is.

Ok thanks, i thought you couldn't do it with the turbo.

My impressions of the PS3 demo? 2K is getting my money. I'm sold.

I loved 2K8. It finally took the throne as the best basketball game ever for me from NBA Live 99. I'm thinking 2K9 will be even better. The animation looks nicer. The controls feel more responsive, I feel like I'm in more control. Graphics are up a bit. The demo just feels good!

I also have to give credit to the "2K network". In game music isn't this rap/hip hop junk anymore. It's more like televised sports music, and that gets me stoked!

I'm going to go with the PC version because my comp can handle it, I have a controller to use with it, my PS3 is hooked to my computer monitor anyway, so no advantage for PS3 there, and it should have higher resolutions. So unless some key things are missing, or it's just a terrible port, PC version is for me, otherwise, I guess I'll have to fork up the $60. Either way, you're getting my money 2K. Thanks for making a good game even better! (so far)

Ray Allen's shot is great.

Allen's release seemed faster (more accurate in 2k8). I could be misremembering though. I love the off the ball movement. It really allows you to play the pg position and see the floor. This makes the game much more fun for me, as you couldn't really create shots for people last year without running the same boring plays.

Love the demo and can see it's an obvious improvement over last years version.

The only obvious thing i'd change i think is to tone down the dunks a bit. I was controlling Ray Allen and cut baseline and he did this nasty (as in Vince Carter dunk contest nasty, not Ray Allen nasty) windmill over Gasol.

Other than that as fan of nba basketball i don't see how anyone can be dissappointed with this game, it's by far the most accurate reproduction of professional basketball ever made and that's just judging from the demo and video's of the full version.

What about LAN or any other multiplayer? Where did you see this information?

Even if there isn't even multiplayer, I'll probably still go with it since I never play these games with anyone anyway.

Am I the only one having trouble playing post defense? I know that in 2k7 (PS2) you could push / shove the guy you were guarding out of the post, but I haven't been able to do that, or front my man so it's they're establishing pretty good position time and time again...

Anyone notice the glitch with Lamar Odom in the demo (360)? His legs are pencil thin, and it's really noticeable when he's at the free throw line.

BTW, this game/demo is off the chain.

It looks like 2k has done it again....should be a great year for simheads.

I really enjoyed the demo. The 1st thing I noticed is how much smoother the controls feel. In 2k8, it felt like the animations got in the way of feeling like you had control and that seems much improved now. The animations are still awesome, if not better than 2k8, but I actually feel more in control of them.

I thought the graphics were a nice step up from 2k8, too, especially the skin textures and player faces. My wife said, "That's the jaggiest game I've ever seen," but it doesn't really bother me. I kind of expect 2k's games to be jaggy. It still looks great, though. I'm playing on a 46" 1080p Samsung LCD and the videos I saw online really didn't do the game justice.

Definite purchase for me after playing this demo.

Only thing I can seem to do in the post with any consistency is hook shots and fadeaways. If someone could post the controls for the post moves and isomotion that would be great. I haven't bought a bball game since 2k5 and am kind of out of the loop. Played 2k8 for a couple days but not enough to get all the controls down.

One other thing I'm noticing and don't like is that if you're backing down and let up on LT they'll do this small hop step automatically. Really annoying and I've gotten a few traveling calls because of that.

Also is it just me or when passing to someone running towards the three point line, like if you're running down court and want to kick it out for a quick three, do they seem to either stay put or even take a step AWAY from the 3 pt line for anyone else?

No, I've done them successfully with every player in the demo so far, including a variety of variations.

I'm so impressed with the AI In the demo, the way the CPU works off screens etc. And finally having the ability to take a opponent off the dribble Is off the hook!!!
