The player models and court look fine. The issues you're referring to about court spacing seem to relate to the player's "contact area" around them. They seem to have a bit larger contact area when running plays or moving on the court. The CPU certainly didn't help this as well when they would run into their own teammates and such.
If I can get solid pictures of a court with players on them I'll be able to make a better comparison.
anyone know if the speed used in this vid was the default setting????

I dont see what I said have to do with NBA Live. Im not even talking about that game.
Im talking about the size of the player models in 2k's games the last few years, and how it seems now. It just looks like the court is too small, something is off a bit.
It's been a problem in the past that they've worked on, but i was hoping they'd try to remedy some of it this year with the ratio size of players vs court. I think i'll get the best look when i see it for myself but i've been looking at the video's and pictures and it still seems that its not quite there.

Nope. It was set to 45 speed.
ANother example of
Person A: ____ is wrong with 2K
Person B: Well the same thing is wrong with Live
Person A: Ok so does that mean it isn't an issue in 2K as well
Person B: So you think Live is better than 2K

I mentioned Live because you've played a lot of it recently. It's also for the sake of a comparison. I never once mentioned you said anything about Live.
I know what you're referring to as we've discussed it here in the forums ad nauseam. There's plenty of threads on it. Again, it's not so much the size of either IMO but how they interact with each other. Players in 2k8 don't "shimmy" and "squeeze" through 2 players as well as they should, causing them to get stuck and give the appearance you're referring to.

Now you're complaining about the way people post. What is with you? Contribute to the thread or don't post.

Playing Live has nothing to do with what im saying. I said this long before I touched Live 08 or Live 06, and especially passing up on the trash that was Live 07. Remember the pirate plank floor boards in 2k basketball?
Im not referring to players bumping and stopping plays, although that is a part of it as I said, im looking at the size ratio aspect. That's just how I feel what I see.
I dont think it'll ruin the game or anything, but im just going by what i see.

Someone posted a picture way back of 2k7 and the Lakers and the sizes were pretty much spot on. I think it was of a TNT broadcast. The player sizes, court and everything were pretty damn perfect.
Just so you know, I felt the same way:

But the more I think about it, the more I realize it has to do with the way players interact with each other and their surroundings...

U guys should just agree 2 disagree...
Personally though, I don't think there's a thing wrong with the size of the players on the court. If anything 2 me it was always a problem of spacing and @ the very least, I thought they might wanna make the court a BIT bigger...
Looks pretty good this year from what I've seen

Can't look for any pics but there has been enough threads here already.
Like i said, the player interaction was apart of it, but it wasn't the only reason.
It would be better when i can play the game to tell for sure but from what it looks like to me so far, it doesn't look any different than last year.

Probably the best video so far. That fast break alley oop was awesome. That pick Calderon used to drive baseline and finish was just as good. Both these moves were needed, they weren't performed at an awkward time. Great
The fact that a defender can jump from inside the paint and successfully challenge a 3pter from the corner/wing is why I think there is a spacing issue. That along with the fact that jumping distance is superman-esque

Player size isn't any different from last year so you're right about that.

Kdre,
I just don't see it. I was just comparing it to highlights on youtube and I really don't see it. The only thing I can think is that the camera on nba games tends to zoom out when the ball is on the perimeter which may be a feature that 2k can incorporate with the broadcast view.
