I just download patch 2. I have tried to change the sliders 3 times in a row and each time the game freezes after I change them. Is there a way to re-download the patch?

ive been keeping up with this thread as well as i can, but still seems to me that the ultimate question is yet to be answered.

"Must the Dynasty already in progress be restarted?" I know there has been a "you shouldn't have to."

Can we confirm this at this time?

It just froze again. That's four in a row. If I touch the sliders the game freezes. This sucks.

I want to take a mediocre team and go 7-6 or take FSU and go 9-3 first year. I dont want to walk all over everyone, thats not fun. I dont enjoy winning 3 straight national titles. I want a challenge, especially year one.

With a lower ranked team, a few slider changes here and there to boost the cpu depending on skill level, and some simple don't cheese the cpu with you favorite money plays over and over, you may get that now.

Playing against TCU right now (a game I shouldn't win 8 or 9 times out of 10) and they actually just threw a 40 yard (in the air) td strike. I was in cover 2 and had the underneath stuff covered and the cpu therw it to the corner where he had one one coverage with my SS. CPU TD.

you do NOT need to restart for changes.

I don't think it gets any better than that stat wise. The cpu's one pick was late in the game when they were airing it out to make a come back. There were at least 3 or 4 other cpu throws that I thought for sure were going to be picked but were dropped or batted down.
Excellent news. Maybe the INT slider effect was amplified like it was in the Madden patch. Great news either way! Thanks mudtiger.

Hey guys, I don't mean to rain on your parade but I'm not 100% sure that all of the sliders are as effective as they should be. I played three games last night after the patch and I SET HUMAN AT 100 FOR EVERYTHING AND COMPUTER AT ZERO FOR EVERYTHING.

Observations: the good
1. Cpu QB throws were weak and often short
2. Cpu did drop SOME passes
3. My DB's were absollute ball hawks
4. RB's didn't run out of bounds on slant plays
5. Chop blocks don't seem to be as frequent

Observations: the bad
1. I had ONE sack in three games (AA mode)
2. My offensive line gave up eight sacks (4 in one game)
3. The long ball was pretty much a non factor
4. CPU DB's still have eyes in back of their heads
5. I threw 5 picks in three games (every play was a pass though)
6. STILL WAY TOO MANY DB KNOCKDOWNS!!!

Observations: areas to continue to work on for 2010
1. No major difference in special teams.... maybe 2-3 yards less
2. Int frequency/quick six still a little to frequent
3. Lack of CPU running game... if they struggle they stop running
4. Field degredation still not there

I appluad EA for getting these patches out quickly and efficiently. There is some more work to do but these sliders do make the game more enjoyable for the most part. Here is my question though... does the knockdown slider only refer to the defnesive line because the CPU DL has had no knockdowns in 3 games but the CPU DB's still hit away everything, especially long balls?

Where exactly on EA Sports World do you find your online dynasty?

I can't find it anywhere.

Wow. That's pretty definitive stuff AA, there's no way that play could have happened pre-patch.

Hey JayMO, I saw more like 5-7 yards of difference on kick returns. I'm not sure what is going on there.

I think we will find that over the course of an entire season, this patch has dramatically improved the game. The slider people are happy, because the game is playing much much better. Perhaps you had a couple of weird games.

Also, you must be on the west coast or stayed up really really late, because the patch was supposed to come out around 5 a.m. ET. Are you sure you had the right patch?

Rudy, i get what you're saying, but i dont want to keep changing sliders for every team i play. I want to set some tough, but fair sliders and play (ala years past), not feel like i have to go in every week and change it.

(Not trying to stick it to you, just pointing that out)

Do the custom stadium sounds work in away games now?

If so what changes do I need to make?

# 317 AuburnAlumni @ 08/21/08 03:56 PM
stewaat, kodiak, Skyboxer and I have been slider testing all morning.

The post patch OS Legends Sliders have been posted in the slider thread if you want to give them a whirl.

I'm pretty darn happy with them now. There are some definite improvements by EA in the game post patch. Kudos.

I don't change sliders for each team. My slider set is the same no matter who I play. I was just changing the human sliders for RBA and RBL every time the cpu got the ball to actually have a human and cpu slider set. With the patch, I won't have to do that ever again.

You are dead wrong. Break block affects both the DL ability to break a block in pass rush situations AND run defense situations. If the cpu pass block is at 0 and human break block at 100, the cpu is at a -100 relative pass block score. If CPU run block was at 100, the cpu run block is at 0 for a relative score. Break block affects both and always has.

Just played one half of 5 min qtrs on AA . Me using USC vs Notre Dame. I thought it played awesome!! Im very surprised. I sacked the QB 4 times in 1 half! No kick return went past the 30 yd line. I even saw a pass to the HB in the flat wide open and get this..............he turned upfield!! The only thing I saw that was still in effect is Robo QB for both teams. Though, when i have time I'm sure sliders will help that. I was like 7-10 and the cpu was 9-12. No INTs for both. But even with those cpu numbers, I was winning 17-0. Thats about right. Also dont know if it was just ND or what, but they fake punted twice out of the 3 times they punted. The one that they did punt, they shanked it out of bounds, so I couldnt test the long punt returns. Overall, Im very impressed and instantly was having more fun than Madden 09

Are you guys feeling like its possible to stop the CPU on defense now (passing)?

And where the heck are cb and ODogg?
