This is true. I'm still having fun playing '08 online. Sure there's issues like 30FPS, the slight lag online, and cheap plays like the option and big formation tosses, but overall, it was a really solid game. I think people were way too hard on it.

I look for '09 to make huge strides, and I don't think I'll be disappointed.

EA can produce a steaming pile of garbage and people still buy it. 2008 was really, really bad. Especially if you had been playing the PS2 version the last few years. I felt like I was mugged and the mugger got away with $60 and alot of features I really liked.

Literally every single other thing on that list was either in last gen or 2k's games. Oh wait, we can return field goals.

So essentially the list reads:

Online dynasties
Most of the PS2/Xbox features come back
Returnable field goals
And your point is?I think about 98% of the ppl on these forums were complaining about all they want was the crap that was left out from last gen now that they put it in you bit$#$# about them highlighting it!!!Talk about ing!!!

The only thing that really scares me after looking at all the information and video available is that they seemed to really focus on the offensive side of the ball and not on D. The things I noticed that have been said are WR geting open easier, Oline opening bigger holes for easier running, Smart Routs, Formation Audibles, Better Juke Controls.... does anyone see a trend here?

I don't want this game to be a matter of who touches the ball last wins because the O is so overpowered. They have not really mentioned one improvement on D have they?

Now we haven't seen more details, so maybe I am wrong on this. But for the average gamer, what sells the game? The prospect of overpowered defenses or overpowered offenses? Not too many of the casual gamers would love to get into a 13-10 struggle, but I am sure a lot would love a 31-28 struggle. Offense is flashy and exciting, while to most, defense isn't as exciting.

That would be great, I don't expect it though, not enough complaints about it.

Online roster sharing=awesome, as long as you don't have to be on someones friends list to get the roster.

Seems that way, but I would take a high def version of that on xbox live arcade anytime.

...Now excuse me while I reserve my seat on the NCAA'09 Hype Train
Hope your right, but I don't want to feel like I have been pick pocketed of my 60 anymore.

Sadly it was atrocious after several games online, exhibition, and dynasty. I had to put back 07' for the xbox 1, and play with outdated rosters. I am glad you were able to enjoy it, I tried. I even put it in recently and only got through one game.

I don't know what game you were playing, but NCAA was NOT really bad. It's actually quite good post patch. Other than the minor tweaks I mentioned..I had and STILL have a good time playing it.

Turnovers, and CPU not throwing deep were the biggest complaints but overall I think it's a pretty damn good game.

I honestly don't think some folks on here will ever be satisfied.

I'm like everyone else...I wish EA would leave stuff in. But to b*tch and moan over when they DO reinstall stuff is hilarious to me.

There will always be ***** to any game, NCAA/Madden are no different. I for one and pleased at the list, but thats without seeing it in action. As AA said, fix the AI and the turnover issue, and id be pretty happy.

Bigger holes, cutback lanes, and open receivers, making the game feel more wide open than ever before.
I hope this doesn't mean the defense will be plain stupid...

I am still excited after seeing that list, though!

The good news: We get 50 alternate unis out of the box.

The bad news: They're all Oregon.

Name one other game that would get away with this.

Imagine Halo 3's feature list:

3 Interactive vehicles!
All new 2 player coop!
30 FPS!
6 exciting weapons!

I don't think that would work. Nor does it work for any other game.

Not to mention EA's unparalleled ability to mess things up, from interceptions to taking out the ability for receivers to catch passes.

But hey, we can't all be Stans.
I agree. If I have to go through that clunky menu just to put in a different RB when the PS2 had quick formation subs, I find it unacceptable.

I have gone on record saying just give me the 2008 PS2 version of NCAA 08 on the 360 with fixed pursuit angles and no automatic field goals and I would pay $100 for the game and you would hear no complaints. Until I get back what I used to have on a lesser system, I'll continue to find NCAA football unacceptable.

Think we'll actually get all 119 stadiums in the game this year? I suppose I can understand not including the smallest schools, but the fact that not all BCS stadiums were included in last year's game was pathetic.

If I have to play in "Generic Martin Stadium" with the Cougs for one more year I'll scream.

Man I hope Martin is in there, the Cougs were one of my favorite teams to use back on last-gen, it is ridiculous that a they are a Pac-10 school and not have their stadium in for the past two years when they added the stadiums for teams like FAU.

# 118 countryboy @ 04/03/08 07:14 PM
People complaining that EA brought back features from last gen and added to this year's game?

Weren't these the same people who complained because features from the PS2/Xbox weren't included in the 360/PS3 versions?

And as far as the 60FPS for PS3 being listed as a feature, you can laugh @ EA if you want, but for those of us that only have a PS3, we are pretty excited to see it listed.

Although I must admit that no mention of formation subs is really discouraging.

I am pretty sure that it was mentioned in an interview with Kendall Boyd that all 119 stadiums have been added to this year's game.

Speaking of stadiums, I hope they added team names to the endzones during bowl games. That is very annoying and seems to "deplete" the experience of playing a bowl game in my opinion.
