I like the 60 fps for PS3 and really love the fact they are going to open up the game more. I hope they speed it up a tad too. Formation audibles and many things sound good (slide protection as well?). They said they added post-game presentation but does that mean no half time shows? Hopefully they add multiple camera angles as well.

The big question for me will be the cpu QB AI. Will they cut down their INTs AND throw deep? But so far so good. I will be buying this day one unless some awful news comes out and says this sucks.

Last year's game was good but not as addicting as some PS2 titles in the past. Fixing the cpu QB AI, opening up the game a little, more presentation and more old features that were missed will really help make it a great game.

This is stil BS. There is no excuse for not having ALL last gen features. I need to look back over the list, but I don't recall them claiming to have fixed the menu's. That should be something they're glad to make up to everyone. EA is nothing but a bunch of con-artists.

If I recall...fixing the menu's wouldn't be a "feature"

no more of a feature than touting 60 FPS on PS3? Overall the NCAA games on 360 have been underwhelming. Hopefully that changes this year with an 04 like effort.

I forget which NCAA had goofy stadiums like a Cereal Bowl, but that was the last time I played mascot games. Man, I'm trying to remember which one that was, that was some goofy stuff.

Back when my cousin was three, he loved playing with the TCU Horned Frogs because he thought their mascot was funny. That's basically the target audience

So far, I'm intrigued.

Roster Sharing/Alternate Uniforms/Online Dynasty = It's about damn time.

All the other stuff......meh. It all sounds like the typical EA Sports fluff, talking things up that are apparently going to be great and just end up either A ) broken, or B ) nowhere near as interesting as they make it sound.

As usual with EA Sports, I'm skeptical until I get to play it. It seems like every year we read about all the new stuff they'll be adding in, but of course in these articles they leave out the negative things that will be added to the game because of their messing around with it. ie all the fumbles/int's last year. Didn't bother to mention that new "feature" did you?

True, point being, they should announce that they are fixing them. The most bitched at problem in the game.

I remember reading something a few years back where someone from EA said the mascot games didn't take up any extra memory or space, or something like that. They sounded pretty fed up by all the bitching(tough $#!+, they're useless EA) and they went on about how it didn't cause them to scrap another feature for the mascot games. Well, it took time away that they could have made an improvement elsewhere.

What about Camera Views ?

I realize being able to watch CPU v CPU probable means different Camera angles in that game but in the past you couldn't always play those views. The broadcast view.

The reason I returned this game last year was because I couldn't stand the one view you had to choose from. I know it doesn't seem to bother most people but I have seen a number of people who like the overhead view because you can actually see your outside receivers.

Especially on an SDTV. That right there is the only gameplay feature that would keep me from buying this game. I wanted to play this version last year but just hated the view and it made the game not fun and more an exercise in frustration.

One camera angle in playable games = No buy.

I always played with the overhead view, for the last several years. It was hard to get used to without a doubt.

I would agree they're pretty much useless to us, but I'm convinced that a lot of the mainstream types love that stuff. As for taking time away from other things, I doubt it. The mascot artwork already exists, and the rosters are all 99's anyway.

I haven't had any problem with the camera angle, but then I'm playing on an HDTV.

I agree that the single camera makes the game pretty much unplayable on a SD display. At the very least there should be a letterbox option for SD users.

Yep. It's just a matter of loading the mascot model instead of the player models. I'd be surprised if they spent more than half a day creating the mascot games. I'd like I-AA teams as well but to suggest they're not in because they wasted time on mascot games is pretty unrealistic.

I play on an HD. I still hate the camera view. I ended up playing last gen b/c I need the overhead view. The only thing I could play with last years version on next gen was Campus Legends at QB b/c they zoomed the view back. I figure that with co-op being added there is no way that they can only have the current view. How the others gonna control their guys when they can't see them.

Will we ever see expanded rosters in dynasty? I would love for them to bump it up to 85.

# 156 Scott @ 04/04/08 11:48 AM
Maybe once everyone is using Blu-Ray discs.

Expanded rosters has NOTHING to do with Blu-ray!

well nobody knows how much space the have left on regular DVD discs..

I can't see why Blu Ray would be a must for expanded rosters. With a total capacity for well over 8,000 players in the database, would another 1,700 or so really be that big a deal? The FIFA series boasts having 621 teams and over 15,000 players.
