One of the great things about Rogers' Canadian TV monopoly is that I'll be able to avoid depressing Oilers and Flames games on Saturday night next year. Would much rather be watching Stars/Sharks.

Imagine how bad the Oilers would be if Kevin Lowe wasn't a winner!

Dude is made of glass. You're in the wrong business, homes. Hockey is full contact. He's gotta be one of the biggest teases of the last decade.

Still 5,5M is too much for player like Clarkson.. I know that it is hard for him as everybody in Toronto is expecting brilliance for 5.5M, but still, Nonis hugely overpaid him. Let's just hope that we resign Phaneuf for reasonable amount and get some true 1st line C - I'd trade Kadri plus sth to get some true 1st line C.

And I can't wait to have Bozak back in lineup, even though he isn't as sparkly as Kadri, but he makes the first line play better - and he wins faceoffs, contrary to Kadri, which is 84th in faceoffs for players that took enough faceoffs this season.

I don't follow Gaborik at all but I wonder if he learned to keep his head up or not?

Indeed 24/7 makes the Wings out to be as dull as I expected, but I'm really impressed with Babcock. On the surface it may seem like he's dispensing a lot of rote coach speak, but listening to it more carefully I think it's way more thoughtful than the standard coaching/leadership cliches. For all his folksy persona, he is educated, and I think is really effective at relating some pretty sophisticated psychological concepts to hockey players among the standard rah rah stuff.
